If you had a classic or special edition car with shabby looking seats, would you sell the seats and buy new seats or get the seats reupholstered? I think either way you're losing/ruining some of the specialness right?

Also the original seats/repair parts and covers are no longer available, I would have to get aftermarket seats

I want to do one or the other but I was also thinking about getting nice new Recaros instead. All told the price will probably be about the same and the new Recaros might be nicer
