I’m getting a Tesla for the FSD. Not paying new, getting used. How long do these batteries last? Can I get away with a 2022-23 for the next five years?
>>28946135>(((Supervised)))
>>28946135Possibly, if you don't die in a lithium fire before then.
>>28946135>tesla>used>buying just for self-driving>almost certainly financingYou're an insect.
even my14s have like 80% capacity and that's old tech. the modern packs still have like 90% after 200k miles. that being said fsd is a gimmick and it's fun but you won't use it
>>28946163Does it work in back to back traffic for 1 hour?
>>28946199sure so does literally every single other car made with adaptive cruise control
>>28946135HW3 or HW4? If you got a fully paid HW4, you're blessed. If you're getting HW3 with fully paid FSD, you may get an upgrade later on, but thats a later.
>>28946141>hurrrStill happens less often than a gas car fire, and it happens slower.>inb4 10 year old webm>>28946135I've been on the same battery since 2014 so....But yeah, like the anons above, I'm not big into FSD or even autopilot much. If you want to get into a vehicle and not drive it, use public transport.
>>28946247>it happens slowerStop lying to yourself. Just because you bought an Explosive Vehicle doesn't mean you have to bend the truth.

>>28946135Federal Law says they have to take care of it for 8 years.

>>28946163>>28946247Why is fsd so bad??? That’s the only reason I’m getting this fucking liberal commie bullshit. I want to turn on fsd in my garage. And make it drive up the street to the freeway and stay on the freeway for the 1 hour in back2bumper traffic until my exit. Then I can read emails, drink my coffee, and not lose one hour of work from driving. wtf is the point of fsd????
>>28946135they last about 7 years and then become unstable. After that your car is a ticking timebomb (and no, replacing the “bad” cells doesn’t solve this problem, because the rest are also unstable). The degradation in range is a secondary factor.

>>28946269What a great car. Totally something to force upon us. Nothing can go wrong here.
>>28946287>>28946262>>28946255Actually its 8 years and 100k miles for battery federal.California 10 years is for certain phevs and hybrids
