>open garage door
>it only opens halfway but i dont notice
>backup and hit it
>bend it the fuck in the half

god titty fucking damnit. How much is this shit gonna cost me. Should i just street park like all the other NPCs and stop caring about babbying my car?
>>
Depends how bent it is. Maybe you can mallet it back into shape and realign the side rails as they probably got some impact.

side raids are fine but the metal brackets holding the panels got completely pulled out

Carlos!

>cranked on the spring so the door is more difficult to close than it is to open
Yeah, I do my own home maintenance.

lucky you garage doors are modular.
look up some youtube video where the guy upgrades to nicer, quieter brackets and track wheels. you can remove the bent section, hammer them straight again, order new brackets if they are bent, or just use larger diameter screws and wood glue, or inserts.
post pic of damage

Be careful if one of the springs snapped as it can make things super uneven and the other spring/cable can snap. Don't go fucking with the springs if you don't know what you're doing. I've seen them paint garages with blood.
>>

this. never fuck with the springs, and never disconnect the cable from the bottom garage door panel.
>>

Jesus fucking christ.
You should sell your car and put Uber on speed dial before tou kill someone.

Messing with the springs is fine as long as you think carefully about what is holding the spring tension before you do anything.
90 IQ central american wetbacks are tensioning garage springs all over the country. You can do it too. You need 2x .5"x24+" rods to fit in the tensioner collar thing (easily found at HD, pre-cut to length, even) and you're off to the races.

I did that once with a forklift.
That said, I was drunk at the time so it makes a bit more sense why I didn't notice until I'd taken the door off.

You open the garage door all the way, then start your car, then once the engine is warm you reverse your car out of the garage. Whatever hurry you think you're in is not going to be made worse by seventeen seconds. Calm down and do things properly you fucking spaz.

>you reverse your car out of the garage
wrong opinion. you should've reversed INTO the garage so you can see the garage door as you drive out (forward).
>>
>>28952150
Hit the button when you step into the garage and if you're really feeling paranoid you can just stand there and watch it open

>you can just stand there and watch

>Hit the button when you step into the garage
No. You depress the button on your car's key fob that automatically starts the engine and raises the garage door. The car then auto-drives forward and out of the garage which closes behind the car leaving you trapped inside the garage asking yourself what went wrong.
>>
>>28952160
>asking yourself what went wrong
it started when you purchased the tesler
>>
>>28952150
depends on the garage and the car. if it's a big enough garage and your car isn't that big, backing in is great. a lot of garages are just long enough to fit the car, so you many not have enough room to open your hatch/trunk and put things in it.
>your pic
that's fucking insane hahaha
