It's the place Coronado called "The last woods before I saw the Rockies." East OK is much more Deep South like.Oklahoma as one of the last states made is much more frontier than most despite being in the middle of the country. What people thought they were getting in Colorado or Montana is what Oklahoma actually is wildlife-wise. It comes with all the frontier problems, though. I was running armed trespassers off our land since I was like 7. We're also like 20 miles from the maximum number of tornadoes in tornado alley. I wouldn't trade it for anything, but I work away from home in Texas so I'm not there all the time.
