Thoughts on cheap no name aftermarket radios? I want to replace my stock 2002 radio but not for several hundred the car isn’t even worth that
>>

I'd rather just use a decent head unit and mount my phone on the ac vent
>>
You kinda get what you pay for most of the time. They're some ancient version of car software using designs from 20 years ago. Sometimes it all works flawlessly, some units will be unusable junk with chinglish

chinkshit no name stereos aren't even worth the time taking the dash apart to put them in. It's not like a Pioneer or Kenwood are expensive, they have expensive flagship models but you can still get something that'll sound good with basic features for $70-120.

They work fine but their cheap for a reason. The audio quality is rough but you're using stock speakers so it won't really matter. Look for Atoto brand, they seem to the best quality of the Chinese junk. I used one for a few months before upgrading to an Alpine.

If not chink shit then what’s the best frugal option the car is over 20 years old I’m not spending $400 on it

Then WTF are we having this discussion?
Seriously.

1. Post car Make and Model
2. We can try to locate the cheapest option

Don't buy chunks hit because you want a double din anon, radios are for good audio first, spend real money and either get a single din or a nice double din and make your money work for you

2002 mustang gt

Thanks.
If no touch screen is required:
Single-DIN unit paired with an installation pocket
Pioneer DEH-S4220BT ($90 – $110)

if YES touch screen:

BOSS Audio BE7ACP / BE7ACP-C ($140 – $190)

or

Kenwood DMX129BT ($170 – $200)

If your door mirrors have little speaker "tweeter pods" on the inside, you have a Mach system. It utilizes factory amplifiers tucked under the dash. To connect a cheap aftermarket radio without ruining the sound or popping your speakers, you must buy a specific integration harness

That's what our man needs, been rocking my Pioneer single DIN CD for 7 years now, still sounds good, just playing BT audio in a mustang GT is gonna be the bee's knees.

>Hmm, what's it missing.. I know! Our logo right on the front!

Yeah I got the Mach 460. Still tempted to go with cheap chinkshit because they all have the volume knob and physical buttons I want. Also r*ddit says to avoid boss
