for context it's the little electric fan installed near the dashboard of an LLV, they don't have air conditioning at all. i was actually thinking about getting one in my vw beetle as a stopgap solution (since i don't have the money for a $1,000 alternator replacement yet). apparently they run on standard 12 volts DC, so it wouldn't be hard to power one.

>>28950832Hot days you'll be driving around with the doors slid back so you might not notice much from the fan when you're moving. Stopped, or low speed, and it'll be a lifesaver. Same when it rains. You might want more than one angle too depending on available mounting areas.

It'd be a lot easier to get one of those more modern cheap fans that you can plug into a cigarette lighter. Downside is that they seem to mostly be cheap plastic devices from India or China.Pic unrelated.
