What do you do?
I absolutely am a junkie, I prefer morphine to sex, but I'm an engineer, and you aren't.
I was working for a German car parts company... 19 years ago and they did this shit. Did you make $20/hr at 18? $30/hr at 23? I am the slobbiest motherfucker, I am sitting in a sea of cans and liquor bottles. I'm still smarter than you, I got two engineering degrees from university despite doing weed, alcohol, amphetamine, codeine, and morphine every single day year after year. SMD beeyatch.
I'm sorry, your fancy tucked button-up getup doesn't make you smart, it makes you a homo.

Okay? Enjoy your automatic RAV4 or whatever.
Also, the white Subaru was an STi, you can tell because it has the upper spoiler. I like debadging, you don’t have to. I debadged the trim that other people put fake badges on to pretend to be that.

To be fair, I never added a wing to anything. I bolted a front lip to my NA8, only visual mod. My parents bought me that Honda new (see that post above about capitalism? Only I benefit) and the Eclipse had dynamat from the previous owner, got it for $2k, can only complain so much. The speedometer and odometer didn't work because Plymouth / Mopar drivetrain but that didn't bother me half my life ago; doesn't bother me now.
I do look like debadging though.

>>
>>29005894
Cars look better without badges 99% of the time. That's my personal opinion, you don't have to agree. I can do what I want with my cars, resale value be damned. I do think so, and I will debadge high-trim versions of cars because it makes them look better. You really want to look at an advertisement instead of the actual car?
>>
>>29005897
>Post your toolbox and cars, retard wrenchlet

You're so fixated on badges and little exterior shit when there's an entire aftermarket of turbos, dry sumps, engine management systems, and transmissions to help you be cool and have fun. Yet you chose the glue on temu lips and LEDs. That's what your two degrees led you to, being a ricer at the most fundamental level.

Dawg, I took that STi to over 175mph multiple times. I datalogged and tuned it myself. I'd come home after work and pore over my run data from driving to and from work. >>

Wera can be very hit or miss. some of their crap is very gimmicky, while other times it can actually be genuinely helpful. It's not for everyone.

That being said I wouldn't pay full price for their stuff. I paid like 30% msrp from a pawn shop brand new because I know the owner, and I know a crackhead stole it from a canadian tire.

Ironically the post you accidentally replied to was ALSO me. I've got a few Starrett things but they're on their way downhill, got bought out a few years ago and they've already sent a bunch of manufacturing overseas and I keep hearing bad stuff about some of their remaining US production too. It's a shame since I'd much rather support a US brand but not at those prices for stuff that's no better than Mitu.

Why? Burger tool carts work fine. And the small boxes suck for so many automotive tools, I keep wanting a 44”+ box for the garage because of all the blow molded cases and pry bars and long ratchets and bullshit that doesn’t fit well in 28” boxes.
>>
>>29010142

A lot of capacity and organization for the overall cart size, they wouldn't replace a big box but they'd be a good mobile option, especially for stuff like industrial maintenance or aviation where you need to roll the cart all over a large area. I'd personally consider one as a machinist box since they've got a lot of shallow drawers as well, and I could also see them being good hardware or small parts boxes.

Technically it kinda is. It's a 1 car garage under the house, the basement is on the other side of the wall.
>>
>>29011158
That makes sense. Mine(>>29006367) is sorta like that too, the ground at the back of the house is about 10-12' higher than the front, which is why the rear half of the garage is cinder block instead of drywall. They went for higher ceilings and a more finished look on mine though, and there's no actual basement. (There's a second garage on the other side of the house though with the foyer in between them.)

I wouldnt say theyre playschool shit. I've used a lot of different brands including crap on, milwakee, propoint, mac tools, dewalt, gearwrench, starrett, mitutoyo, mastercraft etc. I've even used wrenches from Yugoslavia older than my dad.

Admittedly, ive only got a few of their products, and Wera has some really gimmicky shit out there, but every single one ive used are quality tools. The joker wrenches i have are some of my favorite ratcheting wrenches i've ever used.

I wouldnt ever pay full price for them, but if you can find a crackhead that stole them to buy them from for cheap, theyre great tools.

Ok if you find them at a pawn shop for less than the price of Husky, go for it and try the Made In Vietnam Fisher Price tools with an edgy social media compaign.

Meanwhile I got a few of their drivers and the grips are terrible, especially if you have man sized hands. I got the Tool-Chek for somebody and the quality of everything is basically Gearwrench tier for a higher price, and the retention for a bunch of the tools was fucked within a year of mild use. The compact smart packaging was the main selling point of those like $100 kits and it’s useless if the tools are constantly falling out.

What do you do when you need the tools outside your pole barn?
>>
I just have a shed and it's time consuming running back and forth to the work area every time I need a new tool. So I've been min/maxing on a toolbox that can do like 90% of the jobs. Motorcycle, quick maintenance, etc.
