Kando? What's that?
>>
>>29008453
A Japanese word which describes a feeling of intense excitment and deep satisfaction that one experiences when they encounter something wonderful
>>
Why chinks unable to create something from zero? There's clearly a lot of good things that can be done to motorcycles and scooters, but all they do is copy what japanese and europeans already have. It's not like they don't have manufacturing facilities, engineers or designers. "Just take that Honda ADV 350 and copy every single dimension, wheels, handlebar, front looks, but change couple lines maybe change the engine displacement and add a USB charger into a storage compartment". It has to be an unwritten policy, cause I don't see other reasons.

Kando became a manmade marketing mythos saga; both driven by limelight of 80s rock and roll love operas and falling in love with a beautiful japanese qt3.14 but sadly the yakuza take her, and you lay there, drifting in the night- always wondering, kando, kando- will it ever be right?

I've visited a big Triumph dealer, I think it's a most underwhelming motorcycle manufacturer I've sat on, even cfmoto was nicer. Maybe it's because I didn't ride one and their triple cylinders would convince me otherwise, but whatever.

How long did it take you guys to be okay with gear shifts + resulting engine braking? I've picked up a super cub for a decent price but, I feel I'm struggling with the gear changing aspect right this moment. Any Tips?

Zuki is gone fellas. Traded in and picking up Tiger 900GT next week. I am excite
>>
>>29008612
Just shift when it is revving faster than you like or slower. A super cub does all the work for you. If you're engine is braking you too hard then you're downshifting too early.
>>
>>29008623
I see, slow down to ease into it more?

Also can anyone recommend racks? it came just the single seat
>>
>>29008632
The OEM rack is really nice but it's tiny. I had that rear rack, and the extension givi makes to mount a topbox onto on my old cub. It was a very functional setup.
I also drilled out and tapped the plugs on the swingarm to put passenger pegs on mine. That really wasn't fun to do. It's not that stable with a passenger. I wouldn't recommend it.

I had the Tiger 850 Sport for 2 years. It was the bare bones version of the 900.
Got the 2025 and they already fixed the vibrations by adding rubber seals to the handle bar mount.
Plus I get loaded 900GT with heated grips, heated seats and cruise control.
If anythings its a 100% upgrade for me cus I absolutely loved my 850.

Suzuki makes 650's, but I just enjoy lighter weight bikes more.

It's not about pure 'tism, my hands got too vibration-sensitive and now I physically suffer whenever I feel wrong _kind_ of vibrations. i4 buzz doesn't hurt me, v-twin buzz doesn't hurt me, thumpers and 180 twins cause some discomfort and 270 ptwins actually hurt.

the only ways that thing isn't a "biek" is in your HRT-addled mind. even in places that just go "welP thers pedal;'s so cann't be Motor Vehiclel!" would look at its 3kw output and two-inch cranks and say you need a license to ride it around at speed. only thing stopping it from needing registration is that it doesn't have a VIN (but many places will just issue you one)

i've met a few Le 1%-ers and they've been generally pretty nice. I think it's that sort of boomer informed-by-media sense that le tuff guy has to also be polite and have a large vocabulary of professional-sounding phrases, like a movie flick cowboy

but i thought the major clubs commonly have "No Social Media" rules (idk why given how much they advertise otherwise; it's probably just boomer autism)

my local definitely-not-HAs club's only web presence is articles about them either doing charity drives or killing people. i think maybe one time they had their logo on a local gear shop but that shop has since died to put up condos

1%ers (like all crime) have turned very white collar in the last 20-30 years
instead of fighting out on the road for turf with guns and explosives, they realised theres much more money in just controlling distribution of shit like weed and cocaine in areas, and then running the proceeds through a bunch of legitimate businesses

actual HAs in the UK are basically all self-employed, mid level lawyers or estate agents, that just so happen to also ride bikes, at this point - and have a bunch of feeder organisations to do the "dirty" work for them, that then have their own further localised networks
and like anon says with local groups, the only thing I hear about my local NOT AFFILIATED CHAPER is that they run a monthly bikenight, have big public BBQs in the summer and have essentially a mens mental health club in the winter months (and the occasional fight) - but theyre all pretty nice guys who you can have an easy conversation about bikes with, some of they dont even ride harley/indian anymore, they have GS's
>>
>>29009015
yeah same in my area. supposedly it used to be absolutely absurd but the abbos have taken over the "start small ground wars with automatic rifles and anti-tank weapons over dime bags of weed" game, and the NOT AFFILIATED DEFINITELY NOT HELLS ANGELS group is basically just a boomer club for past-their-prime gangsters who have now made enough money on real estate/akshually legitimate business/random good investments in the normal market that they just sit around drinking bad beer and occasionally cranking they're hogs (hell yeah brudder)

no bike nights or anything but i remember hearing a lot about them doing charity shit and hosting pool tournaments and such pre-coof

Its best to stay friendly and "hangaround" status if you want some of that life but not get the shit kicked out of you by druggies and felons.
It also helps if you're built like a brick shithouse and have a physically intimidating presence.

Planing my second trip to Italy, anons those people are just a bunch of disgusting summers worse than romanians. Whole communities live by scumming tourists at city entrance. Basically there's a thing where you can't enter a city center on a car or motorcycle, there's cameras taking photos of your license plate and sending huge fines each time you cross the invisible border. You can't plan this properly in advance because they don't often publish official maps of forbidden regions and the road sign prohibiting you entering is NOT a standard street sign plus it has bunch of shitalian small text on it which you need to spot while driving. So if you need to go to a hotel in a smaller town like me you must know to check if the town is closed for motorcycles (sometimes it does, sometimes it's not, you never know there NO official rules), if it's closed like in my case you need to find a map which does not exist like in my case, so I have no idea if I can even ride to my hotel without getting scammed for 160€. At least I know about this shit riding second time.

I wish the God would remove all italians from italy for the rest of good people to enjoy the beautiful nature.

Retard it's not always the red circle, like shown on the other photos. That is the problem, they could use normal road signs like everywhere else in the world similar to picrel. What they do instead is obfuscate the sign, hide it around other sings, don't post the maps of the irregularly shaped restricted zones on their communal websites, crank up the fines 2x the normal fine of going wrong street and use this scum as a legitimate tourist communal income category (that is not a joke). They could solve the issue in a week if they wanted to, instead it's a huge topic for everyone who travels there and drives/rides, no need to show your ignorance.

Short side quest, you see that first road sign that you described as clear? Tell me if you are allowed to ride a motorcycle to your hotel inside that zone.

>it's not always the red circle, like shown on the other photos
I'm not willing to accept it until you point specific locations on the map. I'm sure that just like with your first pic, there are actually multiple signs that give you multiple chances to spot that you might not be allowed there before it's too late to turn around.
>Tell me if you are allowed to ride a motorcycle to your hotel inside that zone.
No idea, the quality of google street view is too horrendous to make out the details, but unless it states "except for motorcycles" or unless I have authorization (maybe hotel can put me in some guest register, never needed that so no idea how it works) I see no reason to believe I'm permitted to enter this street.
>>
>>29009377
>unless it states "except for motorcycles"
It does not state it anywhere.

>I see no reason to believe I'm permitted to enter this street
You are actually permitted in this particular case for Florence and some other towns, but you'd never know unless you research in advance and make a note for each town, like I do right now. It's a retarded italian system, it should not be this way.

There are definitely pros and cons to the "you can ride in 1st gear? Cool, you have a license now" approach that the US has. Still, it wasn't as if I felt unprepared to ride at night; I just hadn't done it yet (I've only been riding for a 6 or so weeks.) I think the only thing that came as unexpected for me was how different the turns felt on the unlit windy country roads. Hitting the turns felt fine, still, it really was the "a deer could run out now and that could be it" bit that really kept me on edge.

Drop-downs are handy and are good enough you shouldn't need sunglasses, but leave enough room to also wear sunglasses if you do need to. I like them.
>>
>>29010213
Theyre good

Graduating from nobike status at the end of this month and am looking at a Honda CB650r. Any reason not to and chase the honda or a demo-room Triumph scrambler that's at a steep discount since it was a demo model?
>>
>>29010244
Just missing big engines and idk if i want to continue running the 19L nomad tank. The weight is far too noticable im not liking the imbalance
>>
>>29010123
I'm looking at a 2023 model in that green rn.
>>
>>29010244
Also for some reason the co course could be rebuilt like a supertenere competitor i think, but needs fewer fairings
>>
>>29010213
Drop downs are great when you ride at dawn and dusk, you can just flip a lever to tell the sun to fuck off.
Some brand do darker tint than other I had airoh and it was very dark and now I have a scorpion and it has a light brown tint.

I like sunglasses better. I don't think a lot of these dropdowns go all the way down. They let in a lot of light and its irritating.

Triumph 400s are pretty good, they are quite cheap too. Honda 650 is fine, but why not get a smaller first bike?
>>
>>29010299
I've had my eyes on various 500's for a while, but the step up to 650 was so I'd ideally feel more comfortable doing highway riding. I'll be doing alot of it to go see family.
>>
>>29010289
I don't understand peoples aversion to a simple naked bike. It's nice to be able to customize it into the exact bike I wanted.
>>
>>29010310
Honda CBR650R is a good bike for highways, the fairing will protect you well. Take a test ride of the transalp or CB750. It should be a bit punchier and nicer.

Last week my gf knocked over my bike in the driveway. The front fairing bracket (also called fairing stay) completely broke and the plastic around the headlight got fucked. I was already my running my r6 semi naked and now I'm not sure what to do.

I ordered a new fairing stay and will replace that, the bike should be functional after that, but the turn signal is hanging off because of the broken plastic. I'm considering buying a $600 replacement fairing kit but wondering if its time to cut my losses and try to sell as is.
Any advice? It's 2006 r6s

Good thing that the fugly dolphin looking bike with broken frame didn't come to US, damage the name of Yamaha and prevent the sales of mt07 and T7s. You get me? Good business move.

is it actually any good?
>>
>>29010501
Yeah, its pretty good, its just the same as Speed 400, T4, Tracer 400X Tracer 400XC, Tracker 400. Its the same bike in different clothing. Atleast KTM is trying to make different bikes with same engine, Duke, RC, ADV, SMCR etc. But Triumph is as lazy as they come. But, they are quite good bikes, they just feel a bit small which I also like.

I wish I knew how to weld. I have so many ideas. Will welding students take in stuff to use as class projects like they do in dental or hair styling school?
>>

>Will welding students take in stuff to use as class projects like they do in dental or hair styling school?

In other words,
>Will people do what I want?

No. Just go to learn how to weld if you like it so much and then buy your own equipment. Or rent it for a few days and have at it.
