Thinking of getting a car that I can tinker with while still having it near being driveble every other day. Sort of thing where I can fiddle with the engine and bay as a whole as an ongoing project.Bonus points for a molestable non-V8

>>29060276i dont think any vehicle you are tinkering with will be driveable every other day unless you are a pro mechanic. even relatively straight forward projects will leave you waiting for parts sometimes, at least that has been my experience.
>>29060276do you want another vehicle that does the same thing as your daily or one that serves a different role, e.g. an offroader or load hauler, perhaps something you can sleep in?
>>29060276Why would you want a non V8 when you still have the freedom to own a V8? A GMT800 isn't a car but it's a vehicle that's very lego like. You could strip the engine down to the bottom and and put it back together again in an afternoon if you really want.>>29060333That's not that impressive.
>>29060733Please tell me there are ratchet straps holding that frame together
>>29060756The parking brake cables are probably the only thing holding that frame together.
>>29060733GMT800 schizo again...
>>29060276Plenty of people enjoy the Mx-5 Miata as a tinker friendly car.
>>29060816While both of the people in this picture are assuredly dead from lung cancer, the Miata is still alive and well
>>29060276I am usually not an advocate for bastardising cars but these things came with such anaemic unreliable leaky shitty sardine tin ass motors that they're prime candidates for a hayabusa engine swap. How fun would that be. Plus they are pretty cheap and usually rusty af. This goes for most of these old bong roadsters not just the MG.
>>29061029Sorry I didn't read the part about it needing to be driveable every other day. I just saw the Beetle and assumed you were chasing real shitboxes
