well then, I really like how the honda CT125 looks, it also surprised me how quiet it is when my friend showed his to me, I really want something to ride that is fun but also is a bit quieter than other bikes since my HOA is anal about this shit (my neighbors are using EVs), can they keep up with regular traffic or do I have to look at something else like an ebike?, I would rather not since i've only seen the shitty amazon ones around and the "good" ones are pricey

>>
>>29073534
if only it was that simple. its efi so nothing to do but wait for it to flow and fill the filter.
>>
>>29073535
Can't you just run the pump then by turning the key on and off a couple of times?
EFI should always prime the rail first before ignition when you turn the key.
>>
>>29073539
it only primes for half a second or so. the filter is a chunky unit so it seemed quicker to just let it crank.
>>
>>29073542
That's why I said turn the key a couple of times.
The pump should flow a fuckton even in that half a second, like they're real squirters.
Then again just cranking it dry ain't gonna break anything, probably.

It looks to me like "the market" (which is retarded) is clamoring for wireless carplay on motorcycles, why don't we really have this yet. How much more does it really cost? I mean we're talking about a slightly larger screen so you can keep the speedo available while it runs, or a second cheap LCD display for that legally required information.

It is in surprisingly good condition, albeit the right hand cylinder has some major corrosion on the cooling fins.
Its been sitting atleast for 22 year because according to the documents, because the previous owner had died in 2004, there were some indicators that it's been worked on in the 2000s because I found a price label on the fuel filter that was already in euro instead of gods currency MK.

That's a KMZ K750, I got mine, albeit without a sidecar for 300 bucks, albeit it was in quite rough shape.
The one I posted earlier is an IMZ M-72, they're same same but different. I could get an all original KMZ K750 for 1250€ right now, but you can't find M-72s really and when you do, they're like 3 grand due to their rarity.

The M-72 was originally military only, whereas the K750 was available to civilians too, so they're more common.

You can tell a KMZ and IMZ flathead apart by the rear swingarm. If there's a swingarm, it's a KMZ, if it doesn't have a swingarm, it's an IMZ.

i will defintely post one tomorrow morning before my 5hr ride home. the side fairings and short tail definitely look better than the default.

meanwhile, i'll post this pic from my 1600 mile trip to the french atlantic coast and back ealier this year.
i was too cheap for a proper bag carrier solution, since the recent hornet 1000 is still too new to find cheap used adapter plates and other shit for that purpose. so I put everything I had into this flabby plastic travel bag, fixed it with 2 flex ropes and went there anyway. pic is taken on my first shopping trip to a french supermarket.
as I was trying to play literal tetris with a bunch of frozen pizzas and 12-packs of panache beer (yummy), some lady parket right next to me and went on "OH LA LA MONSIEUR, BIEN RANGER HAHA!" or something. I dont speak french, but google later told me that bascally she wished me good luck putting all that shit into my bag.
I dont need luck lady, as long as everything is more or less balanced inside the bag, you're fine. Only need to take care to not have the right side hang over too much, otherwise your exhaust pipe will burn a literal hole into any plastic/rubber/etc bags you have. ask me how I know.
Anyway, moral of the story: no matter what bike you have, you dont need a fancy luggage rack to go on longer trips. you don't even need a fucking backpack, I didnt bring one.
Just buy a travel bag, 2 flex ropes/spanners or whatever they're called in burgerland and a tank bag.

Go visit those far away places, anon.

Northern Germany, 3 day trip (major highways only).
The way towards the french coast allows for such scenic routes that it's almost a crime to just blast along the highway, but I really wanted to see the atlantic again.

Highway tolls in France suck though.

>quickly cram everything into my tank bag; phone, wallet, the receipt (important, dont lose it!),credit cards and my damn gloves
>just blast it out there and pull over at the shoulder eventually to sort my stuff and put on my stinky gloves

It's less about the expense, but the fact that you have to stop at a barrier, fumble around with your phone (sometimes credit card, sometimes you put the ticket back into the machine...) and cars pile up behind you and wait for you to clear the way.
on the bright side, these fees seem to be used to maintain the highway in good condition. clean toilets everywhere, no potholes, everything in top shape. still, my first toll barrier on french territory was such a disaster that some guy's wife got out of the car, looked at me like I was fucking retarded and smashed the "HELP ME" button on the payment station. she briefly talked to the voice on the other end and the barrier went up without payment, so my first one was basically free.

still feld like an idiot.

At this point you should just switch to a tank bag or bring a backpack.
Your solution might work if anything else fails, but in my opinion the hassle of tying and untying that mess every time you go shopping isn't worth it.

Also what in the actual FUCK is that baby seal sized sandwich? Do americans really?
>>
>>29073994
I was wearing a leather suit and had exactly zero pockets anywhere.
Thankfully my google wallet correctly synched/refreshed my cards later on, so from then on it was just
>open tank bag, take out phone
>tap phone to sensor
>put phone back, close tank bag
>go

I think most actual French just had those wireless toll payment sensors on the insides of their windshield, so the barrier opened automatically for them.
>>
>>29073989
No shit, it's not meant to be a race bike. The Honda CB650R and CBR650R are meant to be chill comfortable motorcycles. CBR600RR would be the bike that your CBR600F2 competes with more, and that one does have more power. Dude's asking for a commuter bike, not a supersport or superbike with ergos to match.
>>
>>29074013
Watch your mouth, it's an F3 bucko. The F2 was only up until 94.

So it's a tarted up commuter bike that's meant to look like a supersport. Great, now that we've established that, if you're looking for a commuter bike get an NC750X.
>>
>>29074023
>get an NC750X
So your solution is to get the shittiest, most boring commuter bike, if you're going to get one, rather than one that's a bit more fun. In spite of him asking for interesting, fun bikes in that segment.

If that's what you care about, sure, get a nc750x or a scooter. If that's not what you care about, I've never had a problem with lugging my helmet around.
>>
>>29074041
Why did they get rid of helmet locks though? Even my F3 has one.
>>
>>29074044
Did they? I figured all bikes still had them. My S1KRR has one.

If you like the MT-07 get the MT-07. I actually have a NC700x mt. I like it but my main focus is fuel economy and ability to run regular grade gasoline.
On paper the NC750x and MT-07 produce the same amount of torque but the MT-07 makes more power. Peak torque is ~1800 rpm lower with the NC, but you end up bumping the limiter because honda.

for the adv tards-- are you guys wearing actual CE rated street gear innawoods? it gets so fucking hot out there. i'd want to just wear a light jacket to cover my arms, and then mx pants, but i don't want to ride for round-trip 2 hours on the interstate in mx gear.
i think what i'm going to do is just ride 2 hours round-trip on the interstate in mx gear, and tell myself it will be ok, but i don't like that solution.

I wear cargo shorts and a tee shirt usually

If you want actual off road performance. BMW R12 GS or the old Ducati Scrambler Desert Sled. Whatever scrambler floats your boat, if you just want the aesthetic.

Does your NC ride like an adv bike?

like a Street bike but with softer swingarm suspension. it squats quite a bit when accelerating hard.

I will say that during my crf450rl adventures, every single pair of motojeans has contrqcted me handlebar herpes
I seem to be cursed balls as well; all my pants get holes in the crotch
Ive basically gone through two seasons of jeans year on year now; even my ride rich polyester trash started ripping inner thighs- its only a matter of time before it catches handle bar herpes as well
In my experience, all riding gear is a meme except leather
If you rock mx boots, you can always compliment them with whatever gear fits with slip on paddings. Become raimu pilled

Those are cool. Not really offroad capable, but it's a shame they discontinued them after only a year.

I am not enjoying my KLR. The handling is through the floor and it feels like it's going to flop over at any minute. It weighs a million jillion tons and feels less stable than other bikes I've ridden that are almost twice its wet weight. What do? Is it something I just need to replace forks and suspension to get a better feel for? New tires? I'm sick of being terrified of it.
>>
>>29074122
Thats just the way they is
>>
>>29074122
I've never owned a KLR, but I bet RaceTech fork internals and a suspension tuner would turn that around. Some forums probably have a go-to for KLR suspension gurus or recipes.
>>
>>29074125
The klr is outclassed by all other dual sports
You only get one cause you want the unkillable pig
If he wanted to swap internals, time to get a dr650
Or get a smaller dualsport for actual singletrack
>>
>>29074118
good lord please no. I'll wear sleeves. Please.
>>
>>29074122
The KLR is more of a utility bike than anything else. Other than being simple, dependable, and torquey it's just a worse ADV. Kinda like the himalayan, but arguably worse. You could rebuild it to be something it's not, but it's probably not worth it. You can go and buy a T7 or similar bikes, if you want something that leans more street, or a proper dual sport, if you want something that's primarily good off road. Even an adv like the T7 or similar will likely be better off and on road than the KLR.

All the weight is in the fuel tank up top. You could lower it and steal a smaller tank off another bike.

What a retard for revbombing that particular janny
>>

I've looked at the R12. I really liked it, sat on it, and then looked at the price tag and I did a 360 and walked away

I've got lots of offroad experience but nowadays the most offroading I'll do is fire roads and stuff like that, I took a bad hit on a single track a bit ago and it's kept me away ever since

The aesthetic of the scrambler is what draws me to it, I've had jap bikes pretty much since I began riding 10+ years ago.
