Is this car even fun? It’s very heavy.
>>

On the few occasions I see these they do catch my eye, but then I’m just “damn, too bad that’s a Kia” and go on about my day.
Anyone here own one?
>>
>auto only

Needs about 845 burgers.

It's a Temu M6

I like that car I want to drive one

>looks like a knockoff BMW in the front
>knockoff Dodge in the back
>slower than both
>somehow more expensive used than comparable V8 Chargers and B58 BMWs
>suffers from the Chevrolet SS trope of looking like a cheaper economy car
If they were at least still making them you could at least point to the MSRP and the meme 10 year powertrain warranty, but what's the appeal at this point aside from the fact that it's rare to see one?

just get the genesis version

Crazy that the '''enthusiast''' Stinger was auto only while the shared chassis G70 was actually sold with a manual, even if only for a few years.
>>
>>29078518
>just get the genesis version
Even those are getting recalled because of the fire thing
It seems intentional at this point. Hyundai/kia/genesis are built to self ignite.
>>

every car has problems. if your car is actually affected its just luck of the draw

Same with getting your car stolen. Wait, nevermind. With a specific brand, the chance is significantly higher.
>>
>>29078536
Not that I'm arguing for the Stinger, but the kia boyz theft thing doesn't apply to it as they were all equipped with push button start. It's only the ones with traditional keys and ignition cylinders.
>>
>>29078542
>theft thing doesn't apply
I forgot which other make was having the same issue that you could steal their car with a usb charger because of no immobilizer. Which other brand had that problem besides hyundai/kia in the past two decades? Oh. Great talk.
>>
I don't know how it drives, but I do know it's the only interesting Kia. It's not some over designed tryhard modern futurism piece of bullshit, it's not an Explosive Vehicle, it looks like a normal respectable sports car by the past 10 years' standards.

You're preaching to the choir here anon I hate Kiyundai too
>>
>>29078257
Why would anyone get one of these over a BMW? I don't even particularly like beemers, but the Stinger is just a worse version of one in every way.
>>
>>29078840
The stinger looks cooler and it's a more exotic brand
>>
>>29078851
>looks cooler
I disagree, but that's subjective, so fair enough
>more exotic brand
Huh? I see a million shitty Kias and Hyundais everyday. BMWs aren't uncommon, but Kias are everywhere
>>
>>29078852
I'm currently taking a shit and there are at least 10 bmws in a 100 meter radius. A kia stinger is something you see like once a year.
>>
>>29078853
nvm there are only 7. it's a low density residential area.
>>
>>29078853
You said brand friendo, not model
>>
>>29078861
I consider the stinger a genesis not an actual kia.
>>
>>29078257
I'd put my penis in her stinker, if you can understand my meaning?

Auto only and the turbos are in a nightmare location that allegedly requires a subframe drop to access. I wanted to like these, but I think id easily choose a Cadillac V sedan over these or kraut crap any day
>>
>>29078865
can you elaborate further?
>>
>>29078521
yeah it was made in very very low numbers and only for the 4 cylinder. it was an updated version of what was used in the coupe. i wish they would use the g70 as a platform for a bit more high performance. maybe they'll actually do something with this magma bullshit they have going on.

>turbos are in a nightmare location
as an exclusively NA enjoyer (aka a poorfag), how often are you doing work on a turbo to have ease of access be a deal breaker?
>>
>>29080820
There is no regular maintenance to Turbos, the only problems you would have with them either results in a full replacement or a teardown and remanufacture by a dealership.

Just traded in my 2019 GT2, great everyday driving car and you never felt the weight unless you were trying to keep up with a WRX on a gravel road. Good tires, upgraded brake pads and rotors and an oil catch can will make it an extremely reliable daily driver and comfortable cruiser. Never had a single problem under the hood, the recall is a easy fix and only affected a handful of cars that had previous maintenance done in the same area.

Only issues I had was needing the AC Evap Core and multi-function front facing camera replaced and both of the power trunk motors crapping out. Those issues were all covered under the extended warranty but would have run over $5000 to fix.

Engine was bulletproof but things like the water pump, oil pump and alternator turn into a sub-frame drop very quickly. Also the spark plugs are known to be a pain to access and dealers charge $900+ to do them.

Another issue people dont bring up is the insurance rates. Even though they have push-button starts and immobilizer they got caught up with all of the Kia Boys craze and insurance companies either jacked up rates or dropped customers entirely. I know people in high risk states paying $300+ a month and my carrier dropped me in 2023, had to get on with my fiance's policy otherwise no companies were opening new policies for high risk Kias. My new car is worth 3 times what the Stinger was and my insurance is dropping $22 a month...

>>29080844
I put a knn intake on my car for the ebin turbo noises and it fed metal chips from welding slag to my turbos, even after a full fucking rebuild it still screams annoyingly loud when going fast
>>
>>29078365
I feel like it does have a limited slip diff available but only on the highest v6 trim or something like this, this is a tire issue, they are probably running clapped out all seasons when they should have winter tires if they want to hoon like that over ice

every single video of a rwd compact sports sedan crashing just makes me think they should all have limited slip diffs as standard
>>
>>29080820
Oil and coolant lines, gaskets. That's pretty much it.
