Beautiful thread OP
I may have to declare bankruptcy. I hope I get to keep my scoots.
>>29111121I did it in photoshop
>>29111105Jeet AI thread
>>29111140I was following this semi truck and empty flatbed trailer that was crab walking on a really tight two lane from a good distance back in medium traffic, and this gsx8 flew by me splitting while throwing up a wave. I thought to myself, "damn, that guy is based as hell."
went out earlier to cut down a flock camera. For some reason lost my nerve. I've hit 7 already but I couldn't do it this time. My bike is a little too unique and, with the fall getting cooler by the day, eventually I'll be the only bike on the road. Did I lose my mojo? Did my subconscience save me from getting into trouble?
>>29111146The gsx8s is pretty based, so I can believe this story.
>>29111148Blue masking tape your fairings. I haven't cut down anything . Trust your gutts anon
>>29111148You probably shouldn't admit to that but you should also trust your gut when it says to not do something.
Hi /dbt/. I posted a couple threads ago about picking up a set of dirt wheels for my drz4000sm. Should I get a tubliss setup for them or should I learn to ride on regular off road tires first? I want to have fun, but I also value improving my skill set.
Rumours of my demise have been greatly exaggerated
>>29111157Tenny kun is back.
>>29111155>tublissIDK about this, I would've gone with simpler outex kit desu. Tell me you got some offroad gear.
>>29111171I have some good MX boots, armor, and a dirt helmet. I want some knee braces and maybe even wrist braces before I put any speed into it. I need to protect some old injuries. Nothing crazy
>>29111116Millions of leaves will die
>>29111176You sound like a pussy
>>29111187That's okay.
>>29111192Forget what he said, you are the cool anon with a DRZ, he is a DRZ-let and he is ass mad nobike.
>>29111194Bitch I AM the drz
>>29111194Thanks it's not a problem. He IS the DRZ or something like that.
>>29111200Thats a cool dizzer. Stop being mean to other dizzer bois.
>>29111155Don't bother with Tubliss, I'n sorry I even mentioned it in the other thread. Ultra heavy duty tubes with baby powder and put rimlocks on the wheels, that's all you need.
>>29111122tell us about the hard times anon, what is going on?
>>29111214All good anon. Thank you for the information. I'm thinking some kenda trakmasters or tusk emx for a dedicated offroad setup. The rimlocks are pretty interesting. I just learned about them.
>>29111200>he turned himself into a motorcyclefunniest shit i ever seen
>>29111190i always wonderwhy put the back on the curb but not the front
>>29111220Hospital sent a letter saying my health insurance isn't forking over the 100k to the hospital like they were supposed to months ago. On my insurance app it says the bill is still under review. I don't know if I might get stuck with it now. I'll go homeless before they see a cent off of me.
What's the best bike for twisties? Something to take into the mountains and feel great at 70 to 120 (or 140 if you're a squid) kph? A literbike that goes faster than that in first gear seems like a bit of an overkill.
>>29111240A 250-350. Possibly 500. Depends how twisty it is, really. You want to be able to actually hammer on the throttle like you're in an action movie or else what is the point?
>>29111226Because the road is crowned so the asphalt is sloped toward the curb. You back in downhill, and then gas uphill pulling out. It's not easy to duck waddle away from the curb like a tard
>>29111231What the FUCKContest the charges, do it immediately. You're allowed to do that under US Law because they only charge that much to gouge insurance providers. If you provide pushback they'll start lowering the bill.
>>2911124090's 400.
>>291112313rd World shithole.
First for Suzuki-sama
>>29111247>>29111265I'm tempted to declare bankruptcy or wait until the statute of limitiations runs out. Whichever comes first.
Where is impact? He's supposed to be a DR350 master and he disappeared right after I got a DR350
>>29111288Good anonhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x9gSI_2MriU
>rust on my forkswhen should i be concerned?
>>29111288Do you have to give up your bikes if you declare bankruptcy? Or you just "sell" them to your friend and show you own nothing.
Was super windy in the twisties today. I was almost blown the fuck off the road during a turn.
>>29111347In my limited reading there are exemptions I can strategically use to cover at least my car and scooter. I don't really have much else besides an old computer and tools.
>>29111181>Fireblade spottedSEXOOOOOOOOO
>>29111288Look up your rights because they are not legally allowed to put liens against some things for medical bills. Declaring bankruptcy may just mean that they sell baiku to give to jewru.
>>29111337When you see holes. Wouldn't worry about it until the springs themselves start to rust.
>>29111393Are you the fingolian giving out bad advice again?
>>29111273Based and pilled.
>>29111240SV650, GSX8S, CB750, MT07. Don't get a 250 or 300, although they are quite fun, the lack of torque is very disappointing. Even though they can reach 140kph or so.
Is XR300 a good baik? I already have 3 bikes desu, but I have an itch for a 4th one.
>>29111435Wayyyyy too sexualized but rare but it's too much.
>>29111435Wayy too sexualized but that's a good thing.
Poor people should be humanely euthanized instead of being allowed to accrue 100k in debt whà t the fuck
>>29111471i agree with this for everything except hospital bills. the health care system in this country is fucking wack. $5K for a piece of plastic tubing with a needle on the end? it's clearly extortion meant to force everyone to have health insurance.
>>29111487Why not to get health insurance instead?
>>29111487My dad is a health care exec how do you expect us to afford our mortgages and college tuition?
>>29111489Anon already said he did, and they denied his claim. They can do that, They can just say "We're not paying for you, have fun dying" and if you don't have ready access to a lawyer, what do you do?>>29111495You could live your life dodging Luigi instead.
>>29111487Imagine not having a job that provides health insurance kek. It is also easy to just not pay medical bills.
>>29111507Doesn't matter if you have it or not. They can always just deny your claim. That's why you have to dispute charges whenever possible because they're all horseshit.
>>29111509So you have a solution and you still cry and complain? Sad!
Why is this allowed?
>>29111510That's what I'm telling him >>29111288 , Dispute the charges. They always drop it once they get pushback. There's no downside to it. Even if he has to declare bankruptcy, bankruptcy on say, 20K is way better than bankruptcy on 100K.
>>29111513This is one of the few e-motos I can get behind simply because they built it with the quality of a motorcycle instead of the chinesium bikes with motors glued to them. It shouldn't wear the can-am name though I agree
Also disputing the charges will make the hospital start to look into the bill and then likely start pressing the insurance company to pay up.
>>29111513It's not. It's discontinued and banned and now Can-Am is fully tarrifffed so hard it will DIE.
>>29111524funny enough, it's made in Mexico so the ban doesn't even affect it.

ANONS Plz help I am looking for >Air Cooled>Carb'd >Single Cylinder>preferably above 500ccAs a mechanically super-simple bike to teach my kid how to do an engine tear-down and rebuild. Suzuki Boulevard/Savage (S40) is what I've been looking at, but are there other options out there? Preferably a road bike, not dual sports. Yamaha SR500s are on my list, too.
>>29111586>gangurobruh what the fuc
>>29111591Welcome to Mumbai, Saar!
>>29111586that's not what ganguro is about
>>29111591Buy a DR650 and put 17" wheels on it
>>29111593fucking lmao. Not a jeet, we live in the PNW and my kid has been expressing interest in building bikes, I figured something mechanically simple like this would be a good opportunity. I also personally love mechanical simplicity.
>>29111616>>29111610If the kid is shorter buy a tw200 or something, maybe a sportster 883.
>>29111591Oh the XR650 or the DR650 >Suzuki Boulevard/Savage (S40) is what I've been looking at, but are there other options out there? And yeah, the Himalayan/Scram 411 as well as the other anon sperged out about. If you want to be a REAL hipster, you can get one of these things. If you're in the PNW, they're probably made right by you. Only real downside is that it's not carbed like it should be, but it's the "I'm having a midlife crisis with too much money and want a bike to tinker on" bike.
>>29111619This, short kids need short bikes and the TW200 will teach him everything there is to know about bikes.only thing simpler than a TW200 would be a Honda CT or Super Cub with the famous 125cc engine in it, or the Grom. Honestly, the Grom would teach him more than just wrenching on it.
>>29111590Honda CB500F probablySollte ja geil seinBin noch 21 daher daher darf ich erstmal nur A2 fahren, mache A80
>>29111240No joke, Nc750x with upgraded forks, rear sussy plus pipe. It will be fast with loads of traction, torque and very low COG. Its one of the most under reported twisty raper out there.
>>29111622Can't spell Janus without anus.
>>29111591If you're willing to be lenient on cylinder count, options open up. I would just look for something complete/close to original and cheap.Idk how prices are up there, but consider the Yamaha XS650 or a sportster. But yeah a Japanese single would be a sweet first project. Your son sounds based.Happy wrenching
the tire says max 41 psi and the manual says ~21 psi for tires, should I check it or does it not matter unless it looks like it's losing air?also do I have chimken strips on my scoot?
i wanna good honda give me recommendations
>>29111674Don't run tires at the max PSI. The manual is probably the more conservative number but you can run it higher than that.
>>29111591if you're in America an air cooled sportster is probably what you should do this on, due to ubiquity of parts and information if (when) you two screw something up.
>>29111675RC213 V-S
>>29111598Its about antiestabliahment fashion trends: going against the grainSpray tan is beautiful>>29111592Bigly>>29111674Dont overinflate your tires, youll lose tractionDo what manual saysUnless youre going offroad, dont deflate either40psi sounds crazy>scooter tiresHm, sounds weird, smaller tires and tubes and diameter anything usually results in higher pressure differentials compared to high volume girthy shit that doesnt require as much by defaultMy triathalon bicycle tires were like 80psi skinny lil shits, and anything below 70psi id notice rounding contact patch with my fatass riding
>>29111665Link to report the Janus4chan.org/feedback
is it worth taking these wrencher courses for bikes?do they seem useful to you?
>>29111724If you don't how to, feel like you could learn and retain the information then Motorcycle 1 seems decent. Being able to service your own brakes without killing yourself would allow you to break even within 2~3 jobs. And carburetors are becoming archaic so they'll become specialized tasks sooner or later.Motorcycle 2 & 3 seem like they're be robbery for anyone who doesn't have the 'knack'.
>>29111724That seems like a good bargin if youd rather do that than stop start with youtube videos and open moto surgery on the flyNeed a better sylllabus to know course materials though, could just be bullshit diagramsSo do they have a bunch of parts to reassemble for each class?
>>29111714clean it up, Janus
>>29111513They should make real bikes again.Make that same bike, but throw a 400CC single into it.Get Rotax to make something for it.
>>29111591You can make a sportster look like an SR500. Yeah it has an extra cylinder, but still.
