For people like you that don't have any creativity, you don't see the issue. But for people who do, those of us with a bit of soul to us, it instinctively crosses a line that's just unacceptable. It's like watching somebody cook a completely organic meal and then just before you get to eat it, right in front of you, they sprinkle a bunch of MSG all over everything. Now the food is still going to taste good, and it's still mostly healthy, but at the same time the experience is completely ruined.

I don't expect you to understand. Maybe a better example would be a room that smells like shit except your friend can't smell anything and he still wants to hang out there.

I don't think you understand what msg is. It's like complaining about a chef using salt. Don't use food analogies if you don't know what you're talking about.
>>
>>29113848
Msg is a neurotoxin disguised as a flavour enhancer
Youre killing your synapses with overexcited neurons similar to taking stimulants like methamphetamine and cocaine and thus frying your dopamine receptors
Although im unawares as to exact mechanisms of msg, i just know its highly neurotoxic
Theres a simple saying within nutrition, if it isnt several natural ingredients and has a chemical name on the labelling; probably going to give you cancer or is bad substitute for real food and natural traditional preservatives/flavouring

Only exception to that would be smoking and curing meat which adds nitrosamines and carcinogenic salts potentially like literal saltpeter- just smoke isnt all that bad but its bad in excess
Sulfites potentially also
Theres tons of bad shit out there, dont correct food analogies if you dont know what youre talking about either
>>
>>29113862
>meat mentioned
meat is not great in itself, human system is not ideal to digest it. it stays in the tract for too long and rots, plus it's too difficult to break down even when you don't take more spiritual aspects into account.

the plus side is that it's pretty complete on it's own, you could probably survive and stay somewhat healthy by only eating meat.

I eat meat personally, I'm just saying it's not ideal. Valid point, I reckon, if we are discussing healthy metabolics.
>>
>>29113862
I have a culinary arts degree and have worked for a michelin star chef before. You're some retard acting mike msg is nerve gas.
You would freak if you realized how many things you eat have something in them that would hurt you if you ate the unreal amount of it some study said would hurt you. A gram or two of msg on a plate will not hurt you in any way that regular salt would not.

>>
>>29113880
Yeah because we're omnivores. We don't have four stomachs like a cow either, but I'm guessing you'd never argue that means we're not supposed to eat vegetables because our biology isn't perfectly designed to extract every calorie from a root.
Anon, meat does not rot in your intestines and it passes within a day or two.
>>
>>29113889
yes and eating grass is not ideal for humans either. roots are not optimal either. optimal diet is hard to pursue, especially in america where distances are great and fresh food is hard to get. grass fed beef is a decent way to go, I'm just saying it's not optimal. I'm talking min maxing here.

>Anon, meat does not rot in your intestines and it passes within a day or two.
leave some meat outside at 98 degrees for a day and see what happens to it.
>>
>>29113893
So what is optimal then? Eggs?

Brother the meat that was left outside was not decomposed by stomach acid and digested by a symbiotic bacterial colony carefully maintained by its host. It was just left outside for anything to start consuming.
>>
You gotta be a retarded pencil sized hippy to think humans weren't designed to consume meat.

The key word you lack is omnivore.

yes, most of the meat will be gone before it's a problem, but not all of it. It won't kill you, but the small bits that are not digested or digested fast ebough create extra stress for the system. this creates loss of energy at best and can sometimes create larger problem.

rule of thumb is the simpler the (macro) organism, the better it is digested. so plants are ideal, especially the parts that grow outside the ground and see the sun. Purest way to convert solar energy for human use. problem is, you need a varied diet to get all micronutrients and proteins that you need just from plants. it's a real hassle and then there is genetic differences meaning you have to experiment and see what suits you and what doesn't. it takes a lot of attention and care. meat is an easy, simple way - it has the protein covered and at all essencial micronutrients.

>>29113905
humans were designed to consume anything, meat is just the best way to go, if you can help it.

Yeah and meat is unironically the best at that unless you want to live off processed sugar, and vegetables are arguably the worst for converting matter into energy. Why you think proximity to the sun has any bearing on minmaxing energy doesn't make any sense to me either.

>proximity to the sun has any bearing on minmaxing energy doesn't make any sense to me either.

simplicity. the more complex the digested organism, the more energy it takes for the body to assimilate it and more chance of leaving undigested residue that needs extra energy to be cast out of the system or can be left in the system in some cases and cause problems. cooking helps somewhat.
sunlight is ultimately the source of all energy for living and plants that photosynthesize are the simplest organisms to convert that shit to a human digestible form. but again - you have to know what to consume and consume different leaves, nuts, seeds, fruit to get the optimal micronutrients that are needed for your personal system and activitties. because plants are simple they cant provide you with almost all you need to function like meat.
but think of it liek this - the more processes the food, the worse it is, generally, right? so think of it like this - sunlight is ultimately the source of all energy. the less processed it is, the better. if you cut the middle man (cow) it is better, but just eating some leaves leave you deficient of certian substances that you personally might need, cow already synthesizes basic micronutrients for you. so to get all what you need plant diet needs to be quite varied.

Just noticed I'm on /o/ sorry for derailing I will shut the fuck up.
>>
>>29113848
I know what it is. It's monosodium glutamate. It's found naturally in some places, and works as a savory flavor enhancer. But putting straight industrially refined MSG onto a dish to make someone enjoy it is unnecessary if the ingredients, recipe, and cooking are actually good, and if they are, it's an insult to the art. You might view it as just another seasoning like salt, rosemary, cinnamon, chili powder ect but I do not.

>>29113862
I've never heard of it as a neurotoxin, and it can't be that fucking dangerous as it's on a middle shelf at the grocery store. I'll have to read about whatever the fuck you're saying though

>>29113862
the whole "msg is neurotoxin" shit is untested, un verified FUD spread by the US salt industry to demonize an asian company's product.

if you give a rat like 10x its body weight in msg it will die, it will also die if you give it 10x its body weight in table salt. you will die if you eat 10x your body weight in bananas. are bananas a neurotoxin?
>>
>>29113935
This is why I said I don't think we mean the same thing when we say "optimal"
My definition is the most efficient, the most effective, the most reward for the least amount of work.
Your definition seems to be based on values like simplicity, health, closeness to nature, organic, most direct, least processed, etc.

I'll also shut up now but honestly man it sounds like you're just a begrudging meat eater who wishes he didn't have to and you're wrapping it up in intellectualism justify your feelings for why it is correct.

>i have a culinary arts degree

>implying im not alrrady aware of the various poisons and additives that are FDA approved
I wouldnt have made mention of those other examples, some of which are natural preservatives used for thousands of years, that likewise carry their own sets of risks for cancer and complications in various systems like cardiovascular with nitrousamines etc.
MSG is well documented enough to understand the claim of neurotoxicity
Also MSG even in small amounts can be harmful, especially those predisposed to sensitivity/allergies, fucks your gut biome afaik as well
Its not one of those substances you build up a tolerance to either, much the opposite rather; the more you consune over a lifetime the more sensitive to it you become, and more lasting the neurotoxic effects

Quite simply we both agree: why eat/drink poison, and the solution to pollution is dilution, so why indulge in things which arw known toxins to any degree which can be avoided simply put
Moderation and balance is key to anything involving nutrition; but you can also just not eat shit and crap or copious amounts of processed tendies also

>>29113867
On the contrary, eating meat is probably better for you than grain gruel GMO substitutes; but the saying you are what you eat applies to the animals you slaughter as well
There is a reason to keeo biblical kosher, as much as those animals being unclean they usually have a host of risks associated with them, namely parasites or things like rabbit lacking fat etc.
When it comes to swine, nowadays they feed them whole bags of bread- plastic packaging included, and that is resulting in them literally being forcefed microplastics which now end up in your nutsack

There is about a creditcard worth of microplastics within every single millenial male's system at this point, and its only getting worse
Among other things

>>
>>29113964
kek, it really does. and I hate accessories that have their brands super visible like that also. but hand guards really do help with cold.
>>
>>29113880
Those animals also dont have the ability to cook their food; thereby purging most parasites if cooked long enough, and cooking makes protein more bioavailable and easier to digest
An uncooked egg is like 70% bioavailable protein, cook it and its now like 97% and is the best example for efficient cost per calorie of protein next to things like fish

Nevertheless, something like milk is something we pasteurize and usually deteriorate in terms of nutritional quality, as much as botulism is a rare but valid concern: theres far more risk associated with mass scale industrial pasteurization of milk compared to just simply owning and milking your free range cow in the acreage
Most mammals have no milk beyond infancy, and they dont know how to utilize bacterial cultures outside of their guts and several stomachs for to the purpose of fermentation as an art and science
Although yellowjackets can turn into rabid assholes if they eat fermented fruits decaying in the wild, pretty sure there are monkeys in africa that get hammered from a rapidly fermenting fruit tree, cant recall species, but theres one fruit that ferments to alcohol within the hours of oxidation, its rather unique how fast it occurs

>>29113889
Even with the vegetable question: our appendix is useless for digesting cellulose(?) And we benefit greatly from cooked vegetables on average, things like raw spinach have oxalates(?) That are detremental to iron absorbtion iirc

>>29113898
Eggs, fish, chicken or turkey etc., milk and things like whey isolate protein powder for obvious reasons are the most bioavailable protein sources

>>29113914

Cooking and eating animals are the best sources of protein, fats, things lke b12; and id you eat liver its basically nature's multivitamin
Vegetables and fruits are basically more for your immune system and fiber to shit all that meat out
And as much as the sun is more or less a constant; quality of nutrition is dependent on the soil and aritificial fertilizer use and mass agriculture has siphone and eroded much of the soil quality
Or you can be retardes like my province and build housing for NEW CANADIANS within some of the most fertile black gold soil on earth

Also aa per your cow example; i dont nees to eat the bugs and poison myself with chittin and parasites: chikkun supremacy and then i get eggs and tendies, plus chickens annihilate ticks

>>29113938
>it cant be that dangerous
Thats what we said about frakenfood for decades; now we have some of the most dysgenic and autistic generations since ever, and the rates are only increasing because we normalized industrial poisons and byproducts as FDA approved foodstuffs- as much as pulling he blinders over a host of shit that is indeed harmful even in small amounts
Im assuming youve heard of things like glyphosates right? Was funny in that interview of roundup douchebag being offeres a glass of his toxins during an interview right after he said it wasnt harmful and then ended the interview lmfao
>>29113947
No its not disinformation; its basic biochemistry as MSG is a salt
Salts dissolve in solvents; go figure
I would argue rather we have severely underestimated the amount of neurotoxins and their scope and scale of effects on mankind and the environment
Declining bee populations is another unrelated but good example of underestimating their smol brains and neurotoxic effects
You should reseaech how we handled and managed forrests back in the day with airdropped poisons/fire retardants/DEET etc.

If you read psalm 24, nobody owns anything outright, because Almighty God is Sovereign over all the earth and its inhabitants
Thats the same psalm read over both the daily evening and morning sacrifices by the levites, and basically the casus belli for the great tribulation after the abomination of desolation takes place on said altar; thereby signalling day one of the last 3 and 1/2 years of satans short season where the restrainer of evil is removed and he gets his gay little empire of the end
Whoever disputes the footstool of God is basically usurping God's Sovereignty and imposing his own

So, speaking of animal welfare, best bet is the globohomo manufactures culture of vegans and climate change alarmists will most likely be some of the same shithead antichrists spearheading complaints and moving against the daily sacrifices- which arent sin offerings for you christians, theyre just basically there to declare God's Rule and Reign over everything as a witness to everyone who can see the smoke of our acknowledgement

Well since your powertrain is already fairly gutless just go by visual inspection, slack both up and down as well as side to side, if you run out of adjustment room on your sliderblocks just remove a link, but if ita gettinf to the point where youre already miled out and clipped a link, then its a good idea to replace or just sell it and tell the buyer to replace the chain when he gets time

For visual inspection make sure all the roller links are still intact and if you have o-rings or something that each link has its 4 o-rings between all the pins
Surface rust is just that and can be polished off, but if it gets severe like your civic, might as well get another bike and civic rather than dumping into an endless money pit

Super chickens are good but not particularly fast, think more in line with a duc monster. Parts are actually available despite what >>29114069 says, you just won't find OEM plastics (there's aftermarket options still) and maybe need to skim ebay for a headlamp if you ever bust it. They are carbbed and fun fact they run the biggest carbs ever fitted to a production bike. Good bikes but I wouldn't expect anyone to be fully content with one in the long run, even for V twin standards. Never owned one but I have ridden a yellow one and it was fun. You can also attach 5th gen vfr single sided swingarms on them and it totally transformed how it looks.
>>
>>29114076
No parts as in, compare availability of ancient vtwin superhawk vs whatever modern ducatti he was thinking about
On the other hand, just finding a donor bike would be easier for parts- if thats what you meant it wqsnt what i was being critical of; i meant brand new OEM replacement parts for critical components like engine and electrical and whatevers else
Is it really that easy to source? I deferred my own ambition on the superhawk and most older bikes because of this
Also they guzzle gas like fuck i hear and have a smaller tank than justifies the consumption rate of fuel

That’s because you’re RETARDED
MSG is the useful for the same salt and white sugar are useful. Sometimes you want pure flavor. You could always add sweetness with honey or syrup, but that changes the taste. By the same token you could always use salty ingredients instead of salt, or tangy ingredients instead of a splash of vinegar, or savory ingredients instead of MSG. But we don’t bc it would kneecap our cookery for no reason.

Literally yes it is that easy. All of the engine shit you might need in the most critical of failure is still available and if not a machine shop can make it. Maybe radiators might be annoying to find if you smashed up a side. They drink like a fish but that's ALL twins.
Electrical is all upgradable and charging systems are still sold for it.

It's a honda man 99% of the time you do not need "critical engine or electrical" stuff. If your coil dies you can convert to direct coil ignition
>>

My bike has nobe of those, not even a trip meter.
The speedometer is off too and odometer is probably stuck, the lettering being completely faded out.

If you're buying used anyway get something pre-2012 so you can still have carburetors, a proper japan-built inline 4, and the sovl factor.
Plus then you can get incredibly comfy rides since the "sport touring" category of motorcycle has entirely dropped race DNA in favour of the bikes becoming giant cars on two wheels. I test rode a ZX-14 and it was fun but I got the feeling that we've really let the sport tourers balloon up unabated.

Just hold one handlebar with one hand and hold the seat or something near there with your other hand
Part of the problem is you dont need to drive and steer with both hands unless its uphill and you have momentum

Hey bros, im just curious what y'all would do in the following scenario(s):
Imagine you have either a camper van or class b motorhome and it has a ballhitch mount with a tongue weighted for your bike
Alternatively the same scenario but with a pickup and a scamper that can level off and be left stationary
Or possibly a empty pickup+trailer and towing package setup
The main focus of these variables is taking all into consideration: what bike(s) would you travel with?
>assume a small pickup like a s10 or tacoma etc. And putting the bike in the box with trailer or tongue hitch and scamper combos

Im going under the assumption that the individual is being a vanlifer hippy fuck or an out of town 100hr workweek gentleman who likes extra r&r at a discount as opposed to a hotel etc.

So what bike and vehicle combos would be the best for your budget of 10-20k?
Im basically wondering is if i should start from scratch and get a different bike for this idea, or keep my dual sport and just focus on the accomodating vehicle
I guess the main usecase of the bike would be highway speeds and commuting from base camp to grocery hauls when innawoods, and potential adventuring if you want to offroad it but adventuring isnt its priority; rather its an alternative for lower MPG as main use and secondary means for transporting goods
If you take the 2x bike option i guess ones for fun/iffroad and other for utility
>rather not buy +1 baik
Im leaning toward either ultralight like a trailcub125 just worried about highway speeda in a place like BC, where nobody gives a fuck
Or a harley sporty/suzuki c50 for cool guy points and cruiserlife

There is potential with truck+trailer that your box could haul 2 bikes, or a LWB high roof sprinter van that can house 2 bikes and a workshop; ive seen those duallys theyre nice
I kinda favour the pickup+scamper because its mobility favouring and versatile with the box and towing potential

Anyways, thouhht id ask my bros for helpful discussion in this

>>29114944
Well the idea was to do that, but setup a homebase if you wanted to do other things around that area
Plus you have the potential to build better treeforts innawoods for the full experience if you haul them and supplies with your cage

It isnt about touring and pay as you go, its about having accessibility and options within your travel radius, and acts as a better wildlife deterrent in the back country

If that were my option, i need a entirely new bike setup and different bike; like an adv or cruiser dedicated for it
Plus, if you have a homebase and everything is gasoline, you can haul fuel out to your place beyond gas stations and travel radius and have fewer issues planning your adventures

Theres more options when you have these logistics issues solved, whichbis what im tryna do
Also with dirtbikes and dual sports, why mile them out for thousands of kilometer making your intervals that much sooner
Another advantage: i can cross mountain passes and go to lowlands whereas with a bike id be doomed trying to cross the rockies in oct-may unless i had a super snowmobile suit, studded tires, and a sidecar and balls of steel

I realize guys can go to the arctic on their tw200 and literbikes, but im not trying to do this and was looking for feedback on accomodating cages for these goals

>>
>>29114944
If you want to ride actually tough/interesting trails, a van with tools, a gas can, a cot, and a cooler is the way to go. A plated enduro bike or barely legal dualsport can go places an ADV can't unless you're Pol Tarres, and most of us are not Him.
>>
>>29114959
agree, but it's still a classic
>>
>>29114958
Well thats why i listed variables and combinations which can take the grandeur out and make things a bit more simple
I already have a dual sport and a tongue hitch lifter stand for hauling the bike, i just lack an appropriate vehicle which is where im trying to make a decision or abandon this path entirely and get a touring bike
I like my dual sport offroading capability and fun factor, but being able to haul a garage worth of tools and some of life's conveniences rather than try and do it all in an ultralight setting is more appealing to me than the last several years of my current setup, trials, problems, and learning experiences
Something like a chevy astro is 4k for the cheapest base model of shitty vans, i like the idea of camping innawoods for a more extended period of time than would be permissible with limited resources and utility on a bike; spend 4k and some more on extra fuel getting to the place and have fun or waste that same 4k on increased maintenance costs just getting to these places and suffer the extra fatigue and stress; and because im limited by weight that cuts into the logistical burden of whats realistically possible; your potential for several weeks long is cucked by your inability to haul enough supplies and gasoline to these remote locations and be successful
And in an emergency i have a second vehicle thats better bear proofing than just a canvas tent- as far as homebase goes, thats a good thing to have i would think

Idk maybe its all just a meme, but i met one harley boomer guy that had a blast doing the urban version of this in his campervan, he recently upgraded to like a class c motorhome, hes a pretty cool dude

I think i have the skill to pursue the advchad experience, but i take lots of retarded risks which will otherwise destroy a pigfat machine, and lighter bikes favour these trails simply because dropping them usually doesnt result im catastrophic shitshow scenarios if the fucker lands on your leg and pins you down
With cages i also can bring containers and filtration systems for natural water sources, tools for bushcraft as much as maintanence, enough food to last me several weeks rather than rationed for 3-5 days, big comfy bed/couch, starlink for the glamping vlog experience and thereby make excellent streambos to grift and milk on the OnlyShooms experience of subscribed paypiggus

With a bike, you can go anywhere
With a cage and a bike together; you can now go beyond anywhere's limitations

Or do i just build something like picrel and accept destiny?
>>
>>29114938
I would go with the trailcub like you mentioned or a klx300, drz400, or dr650.

Why not just mod an scl, cb650, or sv650. All of them you have people that have put sport bike fairings on. Okay the scl was rifle fairings for the front modificatied for the rebel but they are the same front forks.
>>
>>29115011
My 2025 scrambler has a different fork than the 2023 rebel I keep it parked next to.
>>
>>29115011
is it easy to put fairings on an sv650? I dont think so. feel free to convince me, I would be up to pimp one. I always thought that this would need some serious work and purchase of chinesium plastic
>>
>>29114999
Ninja 400/500s make great dailies, they're one of the more common bikes I see on my commute.
If that's too slow, I'd look at a CBR650R.
Or if you're okay with something a bit older, VFRs were literally made for you.
>>
What brands does china own these days
>>
>>29115018
There are bolt on cowls available without needing to do the gsx front end swap.
Same for the cb650, there are sport cowls for the naked without needing a front end swap.
>>29115015
I thought just the diameter changed. Mounting aftermarket shouldn't be that hard for spottier cowls. Kinda disappointed the scl500 doesn't get much on the mod end. The rebel 500 has everything from the SEA 250/300 after market except for engine components.
I'm still split on buying one. I thinkered around with the rifle sport fairing but it looks huge on the rebel 300 and ended up going back to the small windshield i use. I should have gotten the supersport like pic related.
>>

>Kinda small
You mean dimensionally? I get that, I almost bought a Z400 until I sat on it. Definitely better for shorter guys, which is why I bought my CB500X. If you mean power wise, maybe? They make pretty decent power, especially for commuting. If you're doing a lot on the freeway then I sort of get it though. What do you ride right now, would it be a big step down?

>internet seems to hate it though
Who gives a fuck what Reddit thinks?
>>
>>29115039
yeah, dimensionally. I'm average height (6ft), but Homer Simpson shaped. Power wise I mean the more the merrier, but I'm sure a 400 could carry my ass around also. Highway is kind of improtant though. I'm not thinking Autobahn, but it should do 75 comfortably.
>>
>>29115030
The Kawasaki 180° 650 twin is one of The Engines of All Time, if you want that type of bike the GSX-8R or R7 is a better buy for the exhaust note and extra power.
>>
>>29115027

In that case, Sv650 or mt07 with a modest windshield added and just always have a wind breaker/rain shell strapped to the bike for when it gets a bit chilly. I had an xsr700 with small saddlebags and dailied that for multiple years, I only got rid of it because it was a little too small for me physically as a lanklet.
>>
>>29115046
They make pretty decent commuters if only because they're so narrow. They easily filter through stuff that I wouldn't have a chance of fitting my dadbike through.
Anyway, maybe a Daytona 660?
>>

Tiger 660 would be a much better choice for a daily.

It is what it is. I'm all but back to normal now, although time will tell if the issues I'm feeling while lifting are long-term injuries or just byproducts of not working out for almost a month.
One reason why I've waited to buy anything to replace it is because I'm still not sure exactly what I want. I liked the z650rs that I almost bought, but I decided against it cause I'm heading out of the country for couple weeks on Monday, and I figured I shouldn't rush into buying another. Since then, I've got a bit keen on the Moto Guzzi v7 and the Triumph Scrambler 900, and I've got a friend who is trying to get me to pick up an rninet, so I've still got some deciding to do.
>>29115124
Hai, I bought it as my first bike back in April and I got hit at the beginning of September which totaled it. Dealing with insurance was pretty painless, and I got paid for it in about 3 weeks, but I haven't picked up anything new yet. Hopefully soon, though, because I really did like riding in the short time that I could do it (I got my license proper end of May)
>>
>>29115146
Damn. Well at least you are okay. Ive been lucky and I've only low sided. I need better gear bad. Sorry to hear about your bike, just remember you need to be extremely paranoid about people. I live in a place where no turn signals are normal and I don't even risk it riding at night. How much did insurance give you back?

Gear is definitely worth it. I got thrown at around 40mph, and I only had minor road rash on my wrist+knee since I was wearing a moto jacket and pants. The only other issues were tissue pain (presumably from when I hit the asphalt) so I'm guessing those pads on the joints did their job as well. I've always been a full face helmet guy, but seeing the marks on the visor from where I slid on my face has definitely reinforced that half-helmets might as well be nothing. I know that everyone parrots this, but skid rated gear is 100% worth it.
The way I see it, I could tell the driver was doing something wrong, and I just guessed the incorrect wrong thing that he was going to do. Sure, I *could* have avoided it in retrospect, but that would have required me to continue straight at the car the appeared to be stopping halfway across my lane (or gambled on riding into the oncoming traffic which I couldn't see there were any cars) and neither of those are smart choices to do.
Insurance did me alright. They quoted the base value of the bike at 5800, but I had itemized every OEM/3rd party addon (none of which I put on myself) which they counted at 50% value (I sent them online listings for those parts) so I got 7300 in total. Considering I paid just over 6000 for the bike (used) from a dealership, I think they did me fine. Replaced all my damaged gear too, which was surprising and welcome.
>>
>>29115163
Yeah ive rode 3 years with a crappy bilt modular and my face and head are gone if I get hit. I kinda want more moto pants for riding to work. Harder to find normal looking pants though.
Good you lived okay. My grandma had a rider hit her headon at night at a stoplight and the guy died immediately, i have no idea if they were going fast, it is only a 45 on that intersection. Got me reconsidering my work riding gear.

>Harder to find normal looking pants though
Just get changed once you arrive. I commute every day on a bike, and I wear a gore-tex commuter suit with my work clothes in the top box. It's just way more comfortable, and doesn't take that much time.
>>
>>29115170
The riding pants I had were the Airwave 4, and those were easy enough to just put on over my regular pants (which is how I'd ride with them when I went out.) Once I got where I needed to go, I'd just take the pants off and chuck them in my tail bag. While they're clearly riding pants, they're not gaudy at all, so I'd just keep them on if I was riding to the store or something as well. Fwiw, the jacket I had was a Astars C-1 Air, which I was fond of. Not rated for skids as high as the pants were, but I think that is alright.
>>
>>29114699

There are a few different one-piece wet-weather options. I would advise the most visible ones.
That said, a few of them (at least the ones I tried a decade ago) tend to have a velcro lining over top of the zipper - water will eventually pass this barrier and begin pooling at your croth. I would also advise getting a suit 1 size up to mitigate the piss-pants crotch seam.
A few riding friends used to have 'weatherproof' jackets over their riding jacket to add another layer of exposure defense.
>>
>>29115499
>silicon-bronze welded
It's not welded, its "joined". Bit of a technical difference since the tubes it's made of are not really fused together. Moto 2 or 3 does this. Sounds kinda sus but Its pretty strong.
