>innawoods
>miles down trail
>overgrown as fuck
>hear something big moving in the brush around corner
>can't see shit
>I stop
>noise stops
>neither of us moves
it's always a bear waiting to rape me until proven otherwise

What's it like being forcibly sterilized by radiation, anon?
>>
Proof the Earth is round
>>
its always creepy when you get to a spot when a bunch of fallen trees that seem to have fallen for no reason
>>
>>2833613
See all the dead foliage around that equipment? That indicates you probably shouldn't hike there.

>derp
You're an embarrassment to yourself.

I have a Ukrainian friend who used to do /out/ tour guide stuff, canoeing, hiking and occasionally took people into "the zone" that was 2016 though, a lot has changed

for me
>paddle canoe
>fishing, having a good time
>hear BIG moose warning call from the wooded bank
>maybe 10 or less meters away
GTFO outa-there as fast as i can

>wake up in the middle of the night in my tent
>boars roughing it all around my tent
lie as still as the dead for about an hour until they leave

>flipped my kayak off the Norwegian coast
was scary, but i just Greenland rolled up again, lost my water bottle though

>be me, inna marshland BLM.
>day hike alone through shitty, wet woods.
>make camp, set up tarp, set up fire.
>spend a couple of hours there, have fun, pack up and leave.
>on the way back spot deep set boot prints.
>they're fresh.
>there were none on the way in.
>notice they were parallel to my shoe prints coming in, about 3 feet away, but the boot prints were leaving.

Pretty spooky. I didn't hear anything that while day. Not even animals moving through that area. Really peaceful day.
I wonder who it was and how they snuck through the bush while obviously being a very heavy set person. Don't know if they were spying on me either, cus the boot prints started out of nowhere, and were leaving the opposite way of me. None went in the direction of my day camp.

It wasn't spooky in a paranormal sense. It was spooky in the level of stealth that dude had.
The guy had to have been trying his best, because I heard nothing that entire day. This was also super close to my camp. I'm always super attentive while in the woods.
Don't be a fag.

i think anon was saying its just scary how sneaky some people can be and that he didnt hear or see the guy.

It's creepier when you get to spot where a sheep has been torn apart and its scattered remains are mostly in the surrounding trees, despite there being no predators known for climbing trees local to the area

In the Siskiyous I've been followed by things nearly every time I go deep in the woods there. Most of the time Ican only hear/feel it like the occasional familiar crash of brush and that feeling on the back of my neck like a mountain lion is watching. It's bad enough when I've brought friends up therethey feel it too and we could even simultaneously point in the same direction where it feels like we're being watched from. I can't even take my sog up there without him barking, growling, or shaking. It's the only time I've ever seen him aggressive, he is normally very easy going.

Picrel is just south east of Grayback mountain, one of the eariest areas to hike in Southern Oregon (in my opinion)

That's just some backwoods retard fucking around

i wandered into a live artillery range once.
>nice day, walking around
>ducking under some fences, not uncommon behavior if the fence seems old and abandoned
>"wow, theese fields seem nice and clear"
>hear a car roaring, see it, think "oh no, some farmer got mad at me"
>4 dudes in full military gear jump out
they politely explain to me that i could have been blown the fuck up if i was mistaken for a target

In my basic training we got a rap sometimes during role call for being too obvious at camp at night. Mayor would sneak up on us sometimes and see how far he got. One night a guy went for a shit. Shat right next to the mayor.

You sound like a brit and their big cat conspiracies.

>ducking under some fences,
Which is something you don't do unless you know the area.
Even being an ignorant hick blissfully oblivious to his sorroundings, looking at your GPS probably would give you a slight hint of where you were.

when you see it...

I hope you brought some spare bolts...
