Time zone map dump incoming
>>2839814Bad time zone borders harm sleep.
>>2839815China is insane. Sunrise can be as late as 10am due to the tz rules.
>>2839814Thirty minute time zones
>>2839663What type of productivity is that map? Agricultural?
>>2839818biological productivity:the rate at which energy is absorbed i to an ecosystem through photosynthesis for a given area of land
>>2839814>Time zone mapWrong. Arizona is 100% Mountain Standard time all year. Bad map to miss that.
>>2840298>given area of landWhich should also include the oceans, and would blow land productivity away.
>>2839663Can that map slow the f down
>>2840328There's only a couple of lines of text on that image and you were too stupid to comprehend them. Well done.
>>2840385Why does Eastern Texas, Oklahoma, Southern Louisiana, and Florida get so much thunder?
UK sunset times summer
>>2840385Because of the layout of the North American continent.Thunder storms happen when there is warm air at the surface under cool air above and they meet. They're most common where it is hot and humid, over larger landmasses. The areas over the South Eastern US create these conditions more than other areas. Thunder storms are most common in tropical regions. They're more common in France than in England, and more common in the South East of England than in Scotland, where they're relatively rare.
>>2840369Fake maps are irrelevant.
>>2840538Why is the UK a pride flag?
>>2840542Just need to chop off the South East and then we can be normal again. Also, the trade-off for it being light at 10pm in summer is when it's dark at 3.30pm in winter.
Leafs, you've been warned.
>>2840541Its not a fake map its an incorrect map.
>>2840808What is incorrect about it?
>>2840594...some day

>>2839816The far west of China is basically nomades who wake and sleep with the sun so it's not really that relevant.
>>2840387Lightning is energy. The winds bring a lot of energy from Africa. That white swathe looks like hurricane track.
>>2839663This makes me hard for some reason
>>2842221fun fact: did you know that since 1900, lake michigan has technically been part of both the st laurence watershed and the mississippi watershedthis is because a canal was dug through the st laurence divide, connecting the chicago river to the illinois river, and reversing the flow so it flows inward from the lakethis was done to protect lake michigan from pollution, as the lake is where the city gets its drinking wateralso fun fact: the colorado river doesn't reach the ocean anymore. it used to flow into the gulf of california, but now the entire river gradually gets sucked up for irrigation and tap water, between arizona and mexico, and theres just a dry empty delta now
>>2842255I just checked and I'm not hard
>>2842284Is that the same canal with the underwater electric fence to keep carp out?
>>2842288Also checked
>>2839816What is Argentina doing?
>>2842461They have weird dining culture where eating at 8pm is considered to be the 'Early Bird Special for Senior Citizens'. Since they tend to wake up late and go to bed late, that they're usually more than an hour off of solar noon works for them. At least they ditched DST and due to the north-south orientation of most of the country, they get to stick to a single time zone.
>>2842463Is that chart upside-down because it's from the southern hemisphere?
>>2842635No fantasy maps please
>>2839663Damn no wonder the native food culture of the north focuses on preservation, and why colonialism to take over the south had to happen to support larger populations.
>>2842739It's not upside down and your attempt at making a dad joke failed miserably.
>>2839816As a night owl who is never in sync with the sun, would I be happier in a blue or red area?
>>2839663
>>2842917Depends on if you have obligations outside your household. If you do need to go out and have things be open, blue areas are best for you as it gets dark earlier. You should also be opposed to daylight saving time. If you do not need to go out and sync your awake time with society, you might prefer red areas (and permanent DST) as it lessens the amount of noise and activity by others during dark hours.
>>2843300Why would getting dark earlier be better? Night owls want the opposite. I'd rather be on permanent daylight savings time, in fact I would rather be +4 hours or something, because that's where my body clock is at.Morning larks would be happy somewhere that it gets light early and dark early, because they like getting up early and going to bed early.
>>2843375If you have obligations that happen at particular time of the evening, it's more likely to be dark when you engage in those obligation if it gets dark "early". If you don't have obligations, you likely want it to be peaceful at night, so you want others going to sleep as soon after sunset as possible. Since their lives are set to the numbers on the clock, they have to go to bed at a particular numeric time so they can be up at a particular numeric time.Sounds like you're confusing the "night" in night owl, seeing it as driven by the numbers on a clock instead of the darkness outside. Very common normie mistake to get everything backwards when dealing with DST and time zone discussions because they can't break their minds away from seeing the clock as the source of light and dark.
>>2843493It's you that's confusing it. Night owls just get up later and go to bed later. It's nothing to do with how dark it is or preferring darkness lol. It's much better to have it still light outside, especially if you want to do /out/ activities. I love June here because it stays like until 10:30pm, I can get up late and do a long hike without it getting dark.
>>2842922another good one
>>2843242:^)
>>2839814Interesting.My tiny little county is on the edge. And judging by the general line and the location of my property within the county im pretty much on the "proper" operation line.
