I'm planning on doing a small backcountry Nordic skiing trip this winter. it'll be my first time doing any extensive cold weather camping. what kind of pant layering do you guys do for this sort of thing. will i be fine with my wool thermals and a ski bib?
I splitboard, when I'm touring on a very cold day, like below 20 F, I still have to open my vents on my pants. Anything warmer I don't tour in pants, I have my merino wool underwear + socks, merino wool leggings for base layer and then basketball shorts on top so my ass doesn't show like Flanders.
>>2841079>will i be fine with my wool thermals and a ski bib?Obviously depends on the temp but that would be fine during the day while your active. At camp, I would want another pair of mid/heavy wait thermals/fleece pants to put on as well.
Tweed / loden wool trousersThat's it, unless there is a risk of rain/wet snow
