but I actually want to do economically meaningful activities on it.Must be at least 25 acres and have a water source.Pls halp.
>>2841317are you retarded
>>2841317you're not gonna find what you looking for. you dont need to buy land to go outside. if you live in the west go in any direction for 10 miles and you'll run into public land, and if your deal is you don't want to be around people so much of it is entirely isolated for miles no trails no roads, you don't need to spend 500,000+ to go outside. if your out east and want land that you can do , "economically meaningful activities on " that property is gonna be just as if not more expensive then out west and have neighbors on all sides
>>2841335he's looking for advice on /out/, so...
>>2841335>are you retardedTo a certain extent.NGL I would like some land but I need to know how to buy it and what to look out for.I noticed that nearly all property one can find listed publicly is sized in area such that nearly all sales require an up-front investment in the hundreds of thousands of dollars, which is fucked. How does a person buy anything without taking out a loan or something else drastically reckless?
>>2841317>but I actually want to do economically meaningful activities on it.Can't have your cake and eat it. Anything that will actually make a decent amount of money for you will require lots of time and work that will destroy the nature (intensive farming, building and renting out homes). You can do some small scale stuff like a hybrid chestnut grove or exotic berries like haskap but that won't make that much money. And you can't just leave it alone because nature will take over extremely quickly without regular maintence.
>>2841346>How does a person buy anything without taking out a loan or something else drastically reckless?haha yeah
Honestly, with land and self-employment (and presumably also a house to live in) comes a bunch of work.I had much more time and energy to go out when I just rented a little box, and my only professional worry as a toiler was to show up to work on time. Not saying it's an exclusively bad idea, but you do want to know what you're getting into
>>2841317There are recreational properties available out there, they're usually cheaper by acre because you can't build on them, but you also usually have to buy a large parcel. They don't usually have road access either.
I've been looking at land in thirdie countries like Zimbabwe recently, some pretty nice packages for like $13,000 for 1000m2, apart from probably having to arm myself to the teeth if I decided to actually use the land is this a good deal?
>>2841458Lol
>>2841458Dude what??$13k for a quarter acre in fucking Zimbabwe?I bought 15 acres for $47k last year. Landandfarm.comLandsofamerica.com
>>2841317>25 acres>water source>cheap Pick one and only one.
>>2841377Uh you can grow or synthesize drugs on your land then sell it on a Tor marketplace.
