I need a very simple headlamp with a single function that can be very easily turned on and offNo flash mode, no dimmer, no red light, no other bullshit.I need a single light function and a very simple on/off switch with no stupid modes in between. preferably a slider switch.Show me what you got
>>2841602
>>2841605that clearly says 2 modes.anyway, i found one, and bought it. Petza Pixel 2. It has a very simple rotating on/off switch and no bullshit modes.
>>2841606ok
>>2841602What is wrong with you? Why wouldn't you want RBG strobing effects and bluetooth functionality? Are you poor or living in the 19th century?
>>2841602>>2841606Good thread.
>>2841606delete this thread faggot
>>2841606woah "simple" "rotating" two words that don't go together, god forbid a headlamp have TWO buttons
>>2841606The Peztl has 2 modes btw.
GRUG NEED ONE BUTTONTWO BUTTON TOO COMPLICATEDLONGNOSE TRIBE TRY TO TRICK GRUG WITH RED AND FLASHING LIGHTS BUT MAKE GRUG DIZZYGRUG ONLY NEED ONE LIGHTGRUG ONLY NEED ONE BUTTON
op here, i need a headlamp that will be turned off and on many times per day, i do not want to cycle through modes or do any long presses.
>>2841606I think people correlate function with price, which is why nobody would be able to recommend to you the dumbest fucking thing on earth, which is a $70 headlamp with 1 single mode. for that price you should just be able to configure functions using dip switches in the fucking battery compartment or something. I never come to this board, so I have no idea, but has nobody made a headlamp with functions that are enabled with dip switches? because that's free fucking money.
>>2841602>No flash mode, no dimmer, no red light, no other bullshit.Such a thing does not exist in 2025
>>2841605>3 AAA batteriesEverything wrong with society can be traced to this.>>2841602Buy something that uses 2 AA.
>>2841602My favorite headlamp is the Streamlight Bandit. Rechargeable, single button, decent battery life (used it for a week in the BWCA without needing to recharge, though I went to bed an hour or two after sunset and just used it for camp setup and night pissing), doesn’t feel like a surplus N-47 right angle light in an old PVS-7 Skullcrusher mount.>no red modeIdk, I use red more than white. Lets you see, doesn’t ruin your night vision and therefore peripheral vision or ability to stargaze, doesn’t blind your friends when you look at them, etc etc.
>>2842204Forgot to mention about the Bandit. It doesn’t do that shitty thing where you have to keep clicking till you get the mode you want. It turns on and off with the button and you switch from white to red or red to white by holding the button for 30 seconds, and it remembers what setting you were using so you only have to long-press when you want to change it.
>>2841756I have a Black Diamond Spot 400, and it does what you need. One button to cycle modes (close-up spread beam, far focused beam, red light) and one button to turn on or off, or double press quickly to toggle flashing mode. Has it a memory function, so it starts in the same mode as when you turned it off, so if you only use one of the modes, you only need to worry about the one button.
