Would I be able to cross this ford in a hatchback that has 4wd?
>>28422424wd is irrelevant in this situation. Hatchback is irrelevant in this situation. The only thing that matters is the depth of the water and the clearance of your suspension. We have no fucking way of knowing either variable. Fuck you OP for wasting our time.
>>2842252It looks like 6 inches or lessI should know>>2842242Looks like just about any car can ford this. Go slow, if it is around a foot deep or more with that current you might have an issue.
>>2842261>Go slow, if it is around a foot deep or more with that current you might have an issue.Go fast. Slow will get you killed or embarrassed. There's no backing out once you realize you're in trouble
>>2842252Suspension height doesn't really matter unless you're in something stupid low or there's huge bumps/dips/rocks hidden under that water. What matters is:>Height and design of air intake>Weight of vehicle in proportion to the amount of water displaced.>Tires>Location of ECU/sensitive electronics
>>2842242I grew up in a very rural area and did some serious offroading that would put most jeeps to shame in a 2001 toyota camry. you'll probably be fine.
No sorry, you need a rock buggy with portals and 44s to cross that 6” of water
>>2842242I'll never understand why people will risk their car just to get to a trailhead.
>>2842556fortune favors the bold, anon
>>2842252Depth doesnt matter.Flow rate does.
>>2842556ya but what if you dont get head?
>>2842556Stupidity. I wouldn't risk my Raptor's wheel bearings on a water crossing unless my life depended on it. In a car? Nfw.
>>2842242Winch across.
>>2842242Portage the car
>>2842569Are your raptors tires 12" in diameter?I think your bearings would be fine crossing that and they aren't hard to replace anyway.
These markers are 4 to 6 inches wide. The water at that crossing is maybe 3 inches deep. A 2wd with bald highway tires would be fine. Maybe if you had a stanced/slammed shitbox that scrapes on driveways you would have some clearance problems but you could drive a ride on mower through that.
I just looked at some Ford AWD hatchbacks and I didn't see anything with solid rims or anything water would have a hard time passing through instead of pushing them.
>>2842252>Hatchback is irrelevant in this situation. Not true. The light weight rear end has a higher chance of floating. A RWD hatchback would have a way harder time than a FWD sedan.
>>2842569Your raptor was designed to run the Baja and teams still use them stock for chase vehicles. Your wheel bearings will be fine. No different than driving in rain
>>2842967You’ve died of dysteria
>>2842242Brüh... I done much worse in Mustangs and Camaros rented from l'aeroport and driven around on vacation roadtripsNobody needs those Amerilard $100K V8 monster trucks just to get around the wilderness. Probably 90% of the earth's landmass can be assplwhored with just any basic car
>>2844753Kek. >>2842268This is making me want to gamble a crossing with my Accord. Imagine the thrill of just knowing it’s do or die
>>2844877lmao if your sticking to the most maintained basic tourist designed "wilderness" then sure that is the case.
>>2842292>Suspension height doesn't really matter unless these important facts to consider are presentLow IQ.
>>2842242no
>>2842242I drove my gti through worse than that. It wasn't even paved.
