I was thinking about how Cincinnati sits right on that bend of the Ohio River, and there's something fascinating about how the city's identity got shaped by being this gateway between the North and South. Like, during the Underground Railroad era, it was literally the first stop to freedom for so many people crossing from Kentucky. I plan to check out the Paw Paw fest some year because I think pawpaw are tasty and interesting. I expect the event will only be vaguely fruit related, and will be mostly vendors selling BBQ and beer, but I'll ride my motorcycle and make a thing of it.
