Whats the most out there thing you have built to facilitate your camping adventures bros?and how does it match up to the autism king?>https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PHU8VK3qIa4
>>2842649The most autistic thing I do is bring as little as possible and bushcraft My best shelter stood up to a storm with F4 tornados in the area, was a basic shelter with multiple layers for a roof and a trench around the perimeter. In one of the worst storms I've ever witnessed in my entire life I was completely dry and comfy. 2 hours of playing with mud, leaves and sticks.
>>2842649I love this guy, but that soup he made where he dropped the biscuits directly looked nasty as hell. Who wants a wet biscuit?
>>2842716Nigga thats what dumplings are.
>>2842721yucky!
>>2842649He is free on a level you will never be.
>>2842649they see me rollin
>>2842656I made a tarp shed out of 11ft, ~2.5in green maple poles. Just two triangles and one crossmember each side running lengthwise, all lashed together with paracord. I anchored it by lashing the sides of the tarp to an 8in log on each side. That tarp shed sat outside for a year before we had a big storm that knocked down tons of trees and snapped tons in half. We lost power for three days, and I spent a day and a half sawing the road open for the power crews. During the storm it sounded like an artillery barrage as tree after tree crashed into the ground with a foundation shuddering "BOOM". That tarp shed held up just fine, and a year and a half later finally needs replacement. The lesson? If you're in for a big storm, a tarp anchored to logs won't budge. You won't sleep. You'll probably still get wet. But a heavy duty poly tarp, plenty of paracord and a small saw will let you build a shelter that will withstand 100+mph winds if you use green poles and weigh down the edges with heavy logs that can still be carried by one man.
>>2843104Layers of sticks, leaves, and mud are far superior
>>2843104Note: it also had a "ridge beam", also a maple pole cut from a small maple tree. All poles were debarked, and the four upright poles touching the ground were charred and dipped in used motor oil on the ends touching the ground to deter rot. So:Two triangles made from ~11ft poles on each end.One ~11ft pole across the top.Two ~11ft poles spanning the length of the sides, one per side, about halfway between the peak and the foot. Two 8in logs, 10-11ft long anchoring the sides of the tarp, one each side.I don't remember the size of the tarp, but it wraps around the triangles on the ends. The back is folded over and tied, while the front is folded over but held with bungees so I can open it.The tarp is just one of those silver and black heavy duty poly tarps. Nothing fancy. The paracord is just regular real paracord. Very simple, but unbelievably durable.

>>2842721he threw in pillsbury country style biscuits into his soup that is kinda nasty as fuck they aren't meant for that. it even formed a solid layer over his soup.
>>2843104I made a big tarp a frame tent and used fencing wire strained up between a post and a tree, for the guide rope, stayed tight as. I used two tarps one for each side with an over lap. And another tarp cut into triangles for the ends. Worked well zi kept my kitchen and my dog slept in it for a year. Good fun, sad I had to pull it down.
>>2843251it's going to be really cool while you can still drive that for the first day or two. then you're out of gas. now what?
