Do you partake, anon? It's the best way to experience nature
>>

Would if I could find them.
>>

Hiking with them is fun. I get no fatigue until the comedown, then it hits all at once lol

I've partooken a few times and actually it was amazing every time. No fear or paranoia at all, just me and my bro wandering in nature in a pretty calm bliss. Afternoon in the woods was fucking tops, 1am in the woods was fucking tops, 5am sunrise in the woods was fucking tops.

I would highly recommend and I would do it again.
>>
>>2843162
Grow your own. Super easy.
>>
>>2843161
Not for like 15 years.

Did them once in an arboretum and had an awesome time.

Did them once in an apartment in a city and did not have a good time.
>>
>>2843161
i do and enjoy them quite a bit but they give me stomach issues sometimes so i don't do them too often
>>
>>2843161
Many times and it’s one of the best experiences a person who enjoys the outdoors can have IMO. Be safe about it tho anons. Take 1g dry your first time and adjust from there. So many noobs to shrooms take too high of a dose and aren’t prepared for the experience.
>>
>>2843178
As far as I'm aware, you can't grow liberty caps. I've grown cubes, have plenty of those. But I've never found or tried semilanceata
>>
>>2843181
Try lemon-tech, tea, and ginger powder. Never had a problem with nausea or anything with that prep.
>>2843207
Apparently you can farm them, though. Rumours are that you can inoculate your lawn with it and spray diluted sheepshit fertilizer and it sometimes works. But if you can come by cubes easily, it's probably less hassle. Personally I like the process of hunting and picking liberty caps, but it requires a trained eye to identify with 100% certainty. When it comes to effect, I personally think liberty caps make for a "darker" trip. More introspection and clarity of thought, more of an autumnal/wintery feeling. Cubes provide more bliss and visuals in my experience - more summery. Scientifically there shouldn't be a difference, though, since it's just psilocin in the end
>>
>>2843218
>Scientifically there shouldn't be a difference, though, since it's just psilocin in the end

This is a common misconception. While psilocin is the primary active there are others like bufotenine that show up too. It's the entourage effect and ratio of psilocin to psilocybin that change the experience chemically. But set and setting also have a strong impact on how your brain reacts too. Most of my experience is with cubes. But I've grown lots of different varieties of them. The experience I've had has been different from the same mushrooms from the same flush, but taken on different days while in different moods. That's why I always take them several times before sharing them with friends. So I can tell them what to expect and give set and setting recommendations. Even then, they can have vastly different effects on different individuals based on their body chemistry. The experience will also changed based on the number of open serotonin receptors that the psilocin can interact with.

TLDR There are many variables

i can get high with friends or alone and have a good time but sperg out around strangers. i guess it's the inante instinct that it's not a good thing to do. but shrooms are nice if you're in a comfortable environment.
>>
>>2843218
i'll keep that in mind for next time, thank you
>>2843230
i'm the same way with weed, haven't done mushrooms around strangers but i'd imagine i would be the same way
>>

You can definitely grow liberty caps. They're harder but not impossible. I thought you were talking about shrooms in general though.
>>
Do not try if you have underlying mental issues or can't handle weed, I'll just say this. Also, you don't need drugs to appreciate nature. It also leave you vulnerable in case of bad weather or self defense

The only actives I've found while /out/ are these laughing gyms. I didn't bother harvesting them though, because they're said to be super bitter and only mildly psychedelic. And I grow cubes, so wasn't in need. I thought I found a massive patch of libs, but they were all psathyrellas. Every time I've thought I found libs they've been psathyrella.
>>
>>2843285
True for many things. It's important to mention that you shouldn't use mushrooms if you're on SSRIs. Psilocin is a serotonin receptor agonist. If you consume high doses of psilocyn while on SSRIs you can get into serotonin syndrome territory.
>>
>>2843161
I just knocked up some plates of jalisco
i like libs but havent hunted for them in years, cba desu though in the past ive spent entire weekends crawling around hills, once you get a mega patch you dont get up for hours
odd kind of fun
taking them in a dark sky zone is the best

I've gone hiking on LSD before, but never on shrooms
I imagine it's similar but shrooms don't last as long and aren't energizing

You are not "experiencing nature" while tripping. You are in fact putting an extra wall between you and the world, effectively locking yourself within your mind. Which can be fun, but don't pretend it's profound.

It kinda just makes you feel a bit drunk but only the body part, you stay pretty clear mentally and you get really vivid dreams. So you’re definitely not going to experience anything like shrooms but if you’re into that drunk/barbiturate feeling you’d enjoy it.
(Do NOT eat them raw)
>>
>>2843827
Spoken like someone who has never tried. You pay MUCH more attention to your surroundings on shrooms. It's not necessary, of course, but it enhances the experience. Like like having wine with your food.

How many days after rain is ideal? I found a bunch 5 days later, but only because all of them were dried up and bright in contrast to the grass. Now that it's colder and humid, many I see remain dark and sometimes rotten, and I don't know if I should act faster or wait more.

>>2843178
I would if I could find the spores.
No, I am not ordering them from some fishy Dutch website.
>>
>>2844317
>I would if I could find the spores.
Cube spores are 100% legal to buy and sell in the US unless you're in California, Georgia, or Idaho. You can find legit US sites to buy them from outside of those three states. Otherwise, you'll have to find a wild specimen, get some from a friend or join the shroomery and hang out long enough to get access to the marketplace.
>>
>>2843827
That's ketamine.
>>2843288
That's a myth. It's a partial agonist, so there is a limit to its max potential. It's also not targeting 1A receptors.
The real issue is that you waste them due to desensitization.
>>2843285
Weed is not a good proxy for shroom affinity. The former is worse for schizos, while the latter is worse for bipolars.
>>
If you need to alter your mind to enjoy nature you don't enjoy nature.
>>
>>2844321
Who said anything about need? Can you not enjoy it both ways? Or are you another autist prude?
>>
>>2844320
>The real issue is that you waste them due to desensitization.
I can attest to this, It took a good dose, usually over 2g of potent cubes for me to feel it sometimes. But I've also had a very bad experience trying to push past with a dose of 10g. I got, what I thought were SS symptoms, flashing from burning up to freezing and shivering and back again, sweating profusely. I was on a fairly high dose of a SNRI at the time. I've since reduced the amount of the SNRI as low as I can. And I can take half gram doses and get a little giggly and brighter colors.
>>

disagree about clear mentally
I got so confused if i didnt have a trip sitter I'd of gone for a walk and got totally lost, to myself i kept teleporting about the house, time was all chopped up, like id start to do something, then teleport back in time to when i thought of doing it, and then be half way done, and then at the end, then the start, my blood pressure got so low i just kept napping out, and whatever i got fixated on as i passed out i would awake repeating that word, like my friend would say something and id just repeat the last word over and over and over and wake up to myself doing it
it was like i was truly possessed, nothing else comes close, at one point i thought i was flying through space, but i was actually just chucking furniture about the room and spinning round and round really fast whilst i was staring up at the light bulb
complete madness
at one point i thought i was in a dream, and then conscious me had woken up, and i was now trapped in this limbo state of a dream that no one is dreaming
another part i experienced the creation of the universe with each element from start to finish, first sound, then with the addition of light, and so on,
time was very lurid and would speed up and slow down like a carousel
utter madness
drunkeness, yes, but clarity, absolutely not
(this was 4 large caps, dried out over 5 days, partially rehydrated every day, then dried to crisp, then crushed up into a tea that was low boil for about 20 minutes)

NTA... Don't do that with psilocybin mushrooms, it will destroy the potency. Moisture=bad. The faster you can dry them the better. Just keep them under 200F. Can't speak on amanitas or it's actives.

I had them in the oven set at 75C for a bit, and it seems like many of them darkened. Is this a bad sign?
>>
>>2844544
75C should be fine. Darkening isn't a good sign, but might not be a too bad sign either. I've never dried them in he oven. Maybe you have hot spots or your oven gets hotter than you think? They don't darken in my dehydrator and it's running pretty close to 75C. I'd get an oven thermometer, if you don't have one already and test it around different spots in your oven. Some ovens swing, they overheat and then turn off until it gets below a certain threshold and then over heat again, keeping you in a window of about X temperature. But it would need to get to over 93C to hit 200F and I don't think you're likely to see that big of a swing, unless you have really bad hot spots.

>>
>>2843827
This, but with opposite intention to what you're intending.
Once you've tripped enough you realize that what you have left to experience after the colors, entities, revelations and search for meaning, is what's been there all along. Without ever having tripped at all, I doubt one could appreciate how grand the outside world is compared to the fantasies we make in our heads or on screens or paper. But at the end of the day, yes, what matters is to experience what's right in front of you.

That should be enough for a light trip for going /out/. Soak them in lemon for half an hour to get max effect.

Me and 2 bros took them last week in a lavo next to a little pond in tha woods. My pal saw God in the stove and let smoke out in the entire lavo, when he was fire watch for a while. Also the Creek meltet together and was major KINO. 3 grams each and there was some rather nice fractals when I closed my eyes. We just let the smoke out and it was fine, but he stresset out a bit but it was no problem really. Would do again, only thing that was too mutch for a while was ALL the detail in some wood chips on the ground next to the lavo. The lavo was a public one placed by local volunteers, the old guy who was responsible for putting it up was walking with his wife the next day and we got to thank him for his work.

Damn. I freaked out on just 1.5 grams. It wasn't even that visual, but the mindfuck was something I wasn't prepared for. It's like a reminder of what being 4 feels like.

i took a bunch in highschool and i do them every year or so since. they are fun. do them at night so you can see the stars are go to sleep if you start trippin out
>>
>>2845402
>Sleeping on shrooms
Falling asleep even after the trip is already difficult enough. I'd have to knock myself out with benzos.
>>
>>2843179
Yeah I think shrooms are best experienced in nature. Like on a camping trip or something. Doing them in a city enviroment is a reciepe for a bad trip. And also remember to always carry your abort pills (aka any benzo) in your pocket while tripping. It gives you a sense of calm knowing you can abort the trip at any time so therefore you end up having a great trip and if you don't, well then you can abort it by eating some xanax or klonoping or etc.
>>
>>2843198
This. The first time I tried shrooms I ate like the cap of a really small one (no more then 1 gram - probably less). And that was a perfect dose for me.
>>
>>2845439
Hypothetically, could you spray a serotonergic antagonist to get an immediate escape without the downside of a depressant?
Even if I had a benzo, I don't think I would be comfortable with waiting a bit to get an effect that doesn't even kill the trip.
>>
>>2845439
>And also remember to always carry your abort pills
WTF.....why would you abort it? Giving yourself an out ensures you'll never commit and learn the lessons the mushrooms are trying to give you. Are you really that afraid of what's in your own head? You know it's going to be over in under 6 hours no matter how much you take. And it will likely only peak for less than 2. Can you really not just sit back and let go? My mentality has always been, strap in, we're in for the ride now. Just like a roller coaster. How boring would it be to live a life where every time you got up to the top of the peak of the roller coaster you chickened out and stopped the ride. You'd never experience the thrill and exhilaration of the actual ride! You need to learn to let go anon.
>>
>>2845376
same here like kept tabs on the weather and should have been really good.. put almost zero will probably only last a week here at tops. started coming when frost came idk
>>
>>2845447
>Just like a roller coaster.
Not that anon, but I was traumatized on a roller coaster as a kid. Being on a ride you have no control of triggers something innate in me.
The trip killer IS that control one needs.
>>
>>2845451
Unless the coaster broke while you were on it and you were stuck on it for hours waiting for crews to rescue you, I don't see how a roller coaster can traumatize someone. If you're afraid to face your fears, you will never grow. Stress is necessary for growth. stress =/= trauma
>>
>>2845453
Believe me, I have tried. I can force myself to ride a rollercoaster until I acclimate, but as soon as I return next year, the nerves are back in full force.

The safety is irrelevant. G force signals go straight to my amygdala.

It's not a matter of building a tolerance. The anxiety is supposed to build as you climb the peaks. That's what makes the release of the fall all the more exhilarating. It's the same with psilocybin mushrooms. The come up period is always uncomfortable. I always think at some point, oh no, I shouldn't have done that. You always get that anxiety of losing control. To get over it, you just have to accept that you're in for a ride, and let go. Allow yourself to follow where the mushrooms take you. Sometimes, it's a lot of fun. And those times are....fun. But sometimes they can be extremely introspective, and those are the trips that will teach you lessons. Show you what you're avoiding thinking about. And leading to real positive life changes. But they are not fun. And if you always pull the eject whenever things get heavy, you'll never learn and grow.

I know nothing of what to do after harvesting them. What do I do now? How do I prepare them for consumption? Do I dry them somehow?
>>
>>2845597
You can wash them and eat them raw or put them on pizza or something. You can also boil them in water for a few minutes and drink the resulting tea (my preferred method). Dehydrate them and put them in an airtight jar if you wanna store them. Have a good trip.
>>
>>2845597

A dehydrator is like $40 max - the quicker you dry them, the less potency you lose. Store them in mason jars. Vacuum seal the jars if you can.

Yes, I've seen some of the books that explain the differences. No, the differences are not big enough between species for an autist like myself to reliably tell between them, I don't trust myself around these mushrooms.

I wish marijuana just grew everywhere naturally instead.
