I live not far from here, im upsetti spaghetti, whats a nigga to do in order to stop this senseless abuse of the natural world
>>

Maybe you should stop letting hysterical retarded faggots control your emotional state?
Or at least stop jerking of to a highly successful spook science project.
>>
>conservative leader
>can't conserve
>>
>>2844340
just learn from Uncle Ted
>>
>>2844340
if you look at a map saying, directly through in this case is an extremely misleading statement and leads to people not caring about our causes. This should have been more accurately published about.

DRILL BABY DRILL STRAIGHT THROUGH THE YELLOWSTONE
>>
>>2844697
It's not misleading when it does, in fact, cut directly through a portion of the park.
>>
>>2844728
All the articles are going on and on about the size of the "uninterrupted wilderness" when as you can see it crosses through a small jutting off point of the wilderness area.
>>
>>2844731
>conveniently ignoring the fact it also cuts through native lands and that the north/south routes will end up creating a boundary in which animal migration/movement will be affected by gigantic fucking 18 wheelers and mining equipment screaming through it 24/7
>not to mention the potential for crashes, spills, etc that all happen along any roadway that will 100% affect the surrounding areas and animal/human populations near and around the roads

It's disingenuous to say that the road is cutting up the entirety of the national park. It's also disingenuous to say that "it's a small portion of only a few miles of park land, don't worry about it".
>>
I refuse to believe anyone here naturally and unpaid is seriously arguing in favor of building a road for huge trucks to haul oil through a national park in Alaska. Surely we haven't become this retarded.
>>
>>2844779
Those north south routes are the two different proposed options, there will only be one road.

The native in question has literally had permission for a road since 1980

>>2844785
its not to haul "OIL" its to haul the exact materials we need to continue any of the green energy projects and goals you people hope for.
>>
>>2844779
its an access road, probably single or nearly dual line, like a logging road. Its not going to be busy 24/7, and likely a lot less traffic in the dead of winter.
>>
>>2844785
I have no dog in the fight, why should I care about this?

Legitimate suggestions on how to stop this road since no one else has given decent advice.
>plant human bones
This will slow it down by months
>plant an endangered species, take photos, report it
This will prompt a month long investigation and can shut it down.
>use AI/photoshop to fake an endangered species in the area and report it
Same as before, but you could have a second person do the same thing about a month after your initial report, slowing the entire thing down, you could do this for years until they realise what is going on.
>plant cultural artifacts or fake them
Indian artifacts is enough, adding human bones to the area means the entire site has to be excavated.

I am Australian. I have worked on jobs where we have found human bones. Unfortunately, because of my age and inexperience at the time this occurred, I was unable to stop the other guys from destroying the human bones, because this was a site with over 600 workers, 50+ machines going. If it was reported the whole job would have stopped. It upsets me to this day.
>>
>>2844731
Still, it would be better to just bomb all the towns in that area.
>>
>>2844792
All that accomplishes is weakening protections for actual archeological sites and endangered species habitats. Congratulations, you "owned the right" by destroying protections for the things you claim to want protected. You got to feel warm and fuzzy for a minor, short-term "victory" while dropping a bomb on your own side.
>>
Its just a fucking road, losers.
>>
>>2844827
This is false. Reporting human bones or endangered species has not once in the history of my nation lead to the weakening of laws.

You are a liar.
>>
No worries, the natural world has been through worse. Much worse. There is still plenty to enjoy. Once humanity goes to far, we will be humbled

>in the whine about the orange jew allowing a road in the wilderness thread
>>

not in Alaska but in BC there were numerous attempts by activists to stop pipelines progress by scattering arrow heads and other artifacts made in backyard workshops that said activists would then "find" and report to the authorities. It didnt work and got a number of bands angry with said activists as it caused the workers to assume anything found had been planted.
>>
>>2845098
>orange jew
Well you got one thing right about Zion Don. Keep worshipping the tribe's seasonal puppet and assuming everyone else is just a democrat, you fucking brainwashing specimen.
>>
>>2845105
is this orange jew of yours in the room with you right now?
>>
>>2845101
BC is pretty casual about its wildlife activism and eco terrorism. Greenpeace started on Vancouver Island, and the FBI's eco terrorism most wanted list can get pretty stuffed with gulf island hippies. A few arrow heads being faked is nothing new, but farmers get fucked on a few artefacts for months on the regular.
>>
>>2844792
If you are smart about it, as opposed to power-process starved activists, it might be effective.

Anything with bad execution will just be counterproductive >>2844827 >>2845101

Using AI to generate pictures of plants is lazy and will stop nothing. Planting bones, artifacts or endangered species could work if executed in a way that foul play is nearly impossible to detect, but this probably requires serious know-how (e.g. botanist with knowledge of whether human placement of endangered plant is detectable).
>>2844827 might still make it a net negative. Could be worth it depending on how harmful the road is.
>>
>>2845154
the problem with planting something is that its not going to work
>human bones
ok? where is he getting these? how does he not end up getting charged with something major?
>artifacts
a couple arrowheads or whatever will do nothing. putting something bigger there (a little mound and moat etc) will be incredibly hard to do, and harder still to do it convincingly
>endangered species
most plausible but again not possible. how will anon get enough endangered species to plant there? how will he get them without causing more harm than hes trying to prevent? and how will he make sure that theyll last long enough in situ to have a study done? endangered plants/animals are kinda notorious for not being fit enough to survive

his best bet is caltrops, direct (violent) activism is the only way anything has ever changed
anyway, just because there is approval for an access road doesnt mean that itll be used. thats like step two of trying to set up a mine. first you do the feasibility studies and then you get the road in (these are both fairly easy to manage legally), but then you need to get mining permission and then set everything up. there is no guarantee that this road will ever be used by mining trucks or anything of the sort. probably the article is another "trump bad" piece
>>
>>2844792
i was under the impression that treehugging, media attention and minor sabotage were relatively effective methods
>>
>>2844779
is it that hard to build wildlife overpasses on these roads as a condition of building them?

Are you retarded?

i always felt like there was a missed opportunity to have the equivalent of a hayduke and crew show up to a “restored” glen canyon and see its alternative raping through tourism by the great masses of the world instead but i suppose that is contrary to the point of the novel
