Obviously idk about the specific measurements for a spear (much less polearms) but what i do know is that for personal use (outside of formations) the total length must be at least close to the height of your doorframe (210cm) but i'm going for the shortest end which is 180cm. The shaft would be 150cm long and the spearhead 30cm, again CMIIW because i'm using the same ratio for straight swords.

The blacksmith recommended me using sleipner steel or D2 for the spearhead, sleipner costs around 191 usd and D2 149 usd, for the shaft he hasn't given me any specifics yet.

For the design, i'm currently going rather simple as starters but suggestions are welcome.

Any advice?

Why wouldn't you do the haft yourself? You some sort of soi-ed up bugman?

>I want a basic bitch spear that I will never use
>I'll have it custom made
>The smith suggested supersteels because he makes extra money on those
Buy a windlass spearhead and mount if yourself.

This is a /k/ related topic: Just go for a thick broom/tool handle as a walking stick. Have fittings on the stick for mounting a knife. Look at how old style bayonets were mounted and fashion something yourself, it'll be a fun project. Shame you killed another thread for this.

Depends what you want it for, for a wall hanger anything will do, for boar hunting you're going to want the spear and some big ass dogs.

You should check out:
https://www.kultofathena.com/product-category/weapons/spears-polearms/
and see what you like.

Spears are basic bitch hunting tools, pointy end goes in the other thing, done.

Hell you could even just get a Cold Steel bushman and call it a day for $25 bux.

> Step1:
Buy a broom or farm implement handle.
> Step2:
Buy spear point off Etsy or Ebay, or Amazon, hell fucking Temu if your desperate.
> Step3:
Attach spear point to broom, with a drill and nail and a hammer.

Here you go champ, now go fight the British or whatever autistic shit you're LARPING you proud Zulu warrior.
