A newbie in need of recommendations for a cheap tent, preferably under 250 bucks. I've heard about tents like Lanshan 1, but I'd rather ask first some proper autists before committing to anything. My main goals are to have something that'll last a while and withstand a storm. Not going to camp in the winter but would be good to if it could be 4 season.
first of all theres a tent thread up already, second do you own research fag
>>2848503$250?
>>2848503Save up for Durston X-Mid 2. If not, go with Paria Bryce 1P/2P. Lanshan needs to be waterproofed before you take it out plus a whole lot of modifications due to storm complications. If you want something that last, go for a waxed cotton canvas like the Thornhill, preferably 3x3-4x4m imo (weights a ton though). X-Mid 2 was my favorite due it's weight when I did normal hiking, but when I was homeless I went for the Thornhill Classic 3x3m. If you decide with the Paria Bryce, check out their budget sleeping bags, I used it for -25 celcius and it worked great, it's a fucking steal.

Tent thread is up already. Idiot

>>2848503Depends what you want the tent for.I haven't used a tent /out/ in years.Sometimes I put a rain fly and mosquito net over a cot if i'm camping near my car/road. If I'm deeper in the woods I like a hammock. If i'm really deep I usually use a tarp, mosquito net, and rope. Otherwise for fun i'll sometimes do wilderness survival bullshit where I make my own shelter. I always tear it down after because leave no trace.Under 250 bucks you aren't going to get high quality shit that does it all. >>2848570Pretty good opinion.
