Is this yellow spider dangerous? Are they life threatening?There's lots of them out by the woods here.

And all spider bites can hurt but there's only 2 species in North America that can do serious harm. And that, even as bad as that picture is, isn't either one.
golden orbweaver, there are dozens of different species of them but they are harmlessthey can bite but its not dangerous. they are extremely common.
