I'm gathering ideas for biomes and natural environments. I'd like to know if anyone knows of any natural environment or biome that they find pretty. It could be a description, a picture of nature that you like, anything helps.
>>2851440Jungle, probably because I've only ever been in it once.
>>2851740me too spongebob
This
>>2851440Idk why but I find in dense fir and pine woods the ground is so fucking nice becauae you get that thick lush moss. That doesn't seem to work too well on birch forests, as they mulch everything but birch to death. In fall and winter thats fine but otherwise rotten leaves isn't my favourite ground. Don't get me started on fruit bearing trees in summer or autumn, stuff just falls, starts to ferment and reek and also attract all sorts of bugs.
>>2854226when I'm picky I pick sites like this.

>>2856483>woodlandsSomething like this
>>2851740Yes anyone who doesn't appreciate this clearly isn't white, looking over an evergreen forest is the greatest continuous pattern to exist on earth.
Oak savanna
I dream of trail runs in an artic tundra
>>2856510my favorite oak savanna burned down awhile back :( I got to see it a few times before it burned
for me, it's lush deciduous forests, the best kind of environment to hike in
Alpine tundra. Just big ass mountains and big ass stretches of land and big ass sky and no overgrowth or plants to block me so i can go anywhere. Pic related is from my first out adventure ever when I went to Colorado. A pic similar to this motivated me to go.
Another pic from alpine tundra in Colorado
I love my area of Appalachia. I bought 10 acres with a 2,000 sq foot house at a very reasonable price. My property is in an area that is mostly national forest and for that reason is very lightly populated. A 200 acre state wildlife sanctuary borders my western property line. Appalachia has a moderate climate, lush vegetation, abundant sunshine and rainfall. We have strong storms that bring heavy rain that quickly pass leading to sunny days. These strong passing storms provide us ample rain while allowing a high percentage of sun during the day. Portions of Appalachia are designated as temperate rain forest.Appalachia has a tremendous amount of freshwater streams and rivers enabling an abundance of fish and wildlife, including large game such as white tail deer, feral pigs and black bears.Appalachia also has a rugged, independent, even rebellious population. Appalachia's rugged terrain, moderate climate, abundant fresh water and game make it a perfect area for the guerrilla war fighter. There are many reasons that US Army Green Berets and Rangers retire to Appalachia. It is a place that calls people steeped in guerrilla warfare home.Picrel is my horse grazing in a sunlit pasture next to an Appalachian mountain lake 900 feet from his barn.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1vrEljMfXYo

>>2851440I prefer smoky old poolrooms and clear mountain mornin's
>>2859791I found a huge oak wood like this in Pembrokeshire once, took me ages to walk through it. nothing feels quite like that mossy medieval stillness.
I have been to many jungles. My favorite was the peak of a mountain in Nicaragua where there is perpetual cloud and no rainless days. The plants made me feel like I was at the bottom of an aquarium.
the succulent feel of high sierra.
Canyon Country
I really like rivers in the desertit concentrates all the life in the area so they usually have lots of cool animalsplus the contrast of the green riparian area with the surrounding desert looks nice
