Where can I go out in Texas besides Big Bend? I am from upstate New York so am used to the Adirondacks.
If you’re used to the Adirondacks the closest you’ll get is Big Bend. Other than the national forests in east Texas and a few state parks the state is mostly private land. LBJ grasslands is pretty good if you’re near DFW. No normalfags are usually on the trails, and the only other people besides me there if I see any are on horses
Huntsville State Park is the most visited state park in Texas, if I recall correctlyI'm from Huntsville, it's nice /out/ here

>>2852773There are plenty of state parks that offer minor hiking. Otherwise my favorite locations: Big Bend, Palo Duro Canyon, Enchanted Rock, Jacob's Well (more touristy), and Garner State Park.
