You guys like birdwatching? What do you see in the winter?
>>2853652Oh yah I like watching birds, mostly Latinas if you catch my drift
>>2853652I really like seeing blue jays when it's snowyhummingbirds are nice too but obviously they go away
>>2853652sand pipers are the greatest birds to watch.Hilarious little creatures
>>2853652I saw a black phoebe recently, not rare but a first for me. People may think cardinals are boring but I like them. Gila woodpeckers are dickwads and eat all the cardinal food from my feeders.
>>2853652Canadian Geese, Snow Geese, Sandhill Cranes. Odd lot of quail and Pheasants also. I have a lone roadrunner who visits me too. This is in central New Mexico. The Canadian geese arrived extremely early this year compared to years past
>>2853652i LOVE shorebirds, they are what drew me into birdwatching to begin with after spending hours sitting at the beach, stoned, looking out at the shoreline slackjawed and watchingthe curious behaviour of the small foraging birds eating bits of biofilmthat coverthe top layer of the sand
In winter I like to go to the beach to see shorebirds and other migrants that hang around in the dunes. But I really need a better pair of binoculars and (someday) a scope. I look out at the water and in the distance are dozens and dozens of birds in the sea but I can't make them out. Lots of gulls obviously, scoters too, but I really wanna see a razorbill or something.
