How do you go about cooking /out/? What's the minimal gear needed to cook something you can call complex? What's the most complex dish you've prepared?
Also how do you consider disinfection of ingredients and cleaning up cooking utensils after you're done?
I use a pocket rocket msr stove, a pot, and a pan, and i bring a lil cutting board and small utensils and I cook meals like I cook at home. Unless you are in a really hot and humid place there is no reason you cant pack in fresh food for the first few days. I might pre cook the meat though. I make lots of pasta and rice dishes. Heres one for a pasta salad that women love>orzo>arugula>red onion>feta>pine nuts>dried cranberries/cherries>pepper>olive oil+balsamic vinegarOnly thing you have to cook is the pasta. You could add meat like something cured. Essential part is also to roast the pine nuts on low heat in the pan. No oil needed they have their own.>>2860526They make biodegradable dish soap. So that and a lil scrubber and a bit of water. But honestly on a lot of shorter trips if I'm staying near flowing water I'll just rinse in the creek with my hands. The key is cleaning immediately after use to not allow anything to stick.
