Are there any solid trail bikes that are under $1,000? I want to eventually try and DIY a small cabin trailer to attach to the back but looking online it looks like most trail bikes that are of reputable brands are well over 2k.

Especially looking for personal experiences with recommended bikes if there are any decent ones around that price point?

YouTube is super gay propaganda funded by Google, but there is probably 200 channels with a thousand videos about your very specific requirements. Just watch my manlet buddy Seth at BearmPeak

Buddy you ain't lying, but I just found the dudes channel and it looks like he does indeed have a video on the subject. In the comments it looks like building your own with interchangeable, budget parts may be the way to go as well.

I'm gonna give it a watch tomorrow at work and in the meantime have the thread for personal recommendations. I appreciate the nudge in the right direction, just wonder how some of those budget bikes would handle a trailer like in the pic.

Seth also has multiple videos about trailers on bikes. He's a YouTuber so he's obviously a faggot shill, but he's one of the best ones.

>chicken coop with lanterns
>campfire smackdab in the middle of dry pine needles

Why is there a chicken coop with 2 lanterns on it? Did he bike there, if so, why is there a chicken coop in the woods? Chicken farmers in the woods? What the fuck is this AI garbage?

You mostly pay for the component group (gears, breaks, wheels etc.) and brand premium. You can get a good bike for around 2-2,5k, then it's usually diminishing returns after that.
A decent bike with more basic Shimano or sram components will run you between 1-1,5k.

If you buy some cheap crap with dog shit components for a few hundred it's barely worth repairing any serious damages if something breaks.
