Any recommendations to get into bushcrafting? I have no clue as to how to do basic things like start a fire or set up a tent or a hammock. I really want to be good at it by the end of this year. I have only been going on short hikes, but I want to feel confident in my survival skills. Books, videos, ect. Would be highly appreciated.
>>2863781Were you in the silver thread? Are you aware of what's coming? I suggest you watch the Primitive Technology YouTube channel and also Outdoor Boys. Learn what wood natives in your area used to use for friction fires, smoking, building, bows, and arrows. Learn knots and weaving. Learn basket traps for fish and small game. Learn how to make rope and snares. YouTube is your friend. Watch things over and over again. Learn how to make charcoal and charcloth. Learn all the uses for animal fat, ash, and tree sap. Learn how to smoke meats. Learn where to find clay and how to use it, primitive technology is good for this on YouTube. Get a book on medicinal plants in your area. Get a book on edible plants in your area. Get a good axe or hatchet. Can never have too many knives or fire starters. Learn how to get water by digging or evaporation. Learn how to general field dress an animal. Learn how to make bows, arrows, and slings. Learn how to flintknap stone and obsidian tools. Dakota firehole. There you go
>>2863781>>2863783You should also learn about heat and wind walls for retaining heat around your fire. Also watch all of Survivor Man and all of Alone.
>>2863781Clay Hayes on YouTube is also good
>>2863781MyTopo has good has maps you can buy, I suggest you select an area now that you can bug out to. Pick somewhere that has plenty of wildlife and access to water but is also as far away from any civilization or even hiking trails as possible
>>2863783>Were you in the silver thread? No I wasn't. But like you said..>Are you aware of what's coming?I was aware that *something* was coming. I have been fearing a power grid shut down for a while now. Other than that i have no clue. Thanks for the amazing recommendations. I recently bought myself flint and steel, Im gonna try to learn how to start a fire. I have never gone fishing or hunting, and I dont even know where to start. I have to get a hunting licence, so I guess that is gonna be my start. I only have my father knife as of now. So I'll have to figure it out.>>2863785Thank you anon !>>2863786Thanks! I think i have to start a bit slower, as i am a complete newbie and i dont even know how to use a compass, let alone read a topographical map.
>>2863783>I suggest you watch the Primitive Technology YouTube channel and also Outdoor BoysI'm gonna throw waypoint survival in there although its not really bushcraft I guess.
>>2863794Your fears are correct. The elite planned it at their summit in 2022 or 2023 I think just like they did covid back in 2017. They announced that it's happening via the telephone towers shorting out during the Superbowl halftime show this year just like they showed LA before the fires. Not sure when it's happening but there's been possible hints at June, September, or October. Good luck, anon. I should also add that you can use charcoal to filter water. Look that up as well. God bless
Best advice I've picked up on besides all the basics is to get an very good sleeping bag.
>>2863781That is the most uncomfortable "bed" I've ever seen lmao. If you're gonna pack the rest of that shit out, at least pack hammock or a bed roll. Plus logs like that with your body heat will likely attract insects to you at night
>>2863988Take meds.
>>2863988you retards claim shit like this every year. pashol nahui
