First question: How does a beginner deal with every single safe path, parking lot, and road available being either hilly as hell, covered in gravel, or both? There are no rinks or indoor courts available either. I managed to sneak some practice in an underground parking garage, but I then got told off by an old lady, so that's out too.

>>2864257none of these are applicable - indoor parking lots close at night (and outdoor ones are a mess), schools would frown hard at some random adult using their grounds, and the only church i know of here has a dirt parking lot. Finland is a weird place...
>>2864258In the US there are playgrounds near schools but not directly on school grounds. They're for the public. Such a place may have a basketball court or tennis court. If this is not possible, consider limiting your skating to winter or becoming Jesus.
