Never been to this board before but I decided to give it a shot because I'm going on a bucket list trip next year.
I'm going to spend at least a month driving around the Pacific Northwest and wanted to know the really good parks and beautiful nature spots I should see and spend time in while I'm there. I'm avoiding the fuck out of any metro area for obvious reasons.

Go to Portland, get Voodoo Doughnuts. Go to Seattle and eat at Pikes Place, ANY place. Do magnet fishing in both Portland and Seattle. Stealth camping if youre up for it.

1. VanDusen Botanic Gardens
Cheap, not crowded, pretty, expansive. Underrated, might be my favorite botanic gardens and I've been to many.
2. Space Needle
It's cool, go around sunset so you can see the view day and night. The glass museum is fine too.
3. Evergreen Air and Space Museum
Probably the best air and space museum I've visited, though I've only been to a few.
4. Butchart Botanic Gardens
Tons of flowers but not much variety. Kind of feels designed for Instagram, but undeniably extremely pretty.
5. Queen Elizabeth Park
The best urban park I've been too. Stanley Park is nice too, though it almost doesn't even feel like an urban park if you go deep into it.
6. Lynn Canyon
I didn't want to pay for Capilano. This was good.
7. Victoria
Just a nice little city.
8. Tillamook Creamery
Free cheese
9. Portland Japanese Garden
Kind of overrated but still nice.
10. Vancouver Aquarium
It wasn't bad but way too crowded, and expensive. All aquariums are expensive though.

Honestly the Seattle area is awesome. Its been years since I went, I did a tour of UW when I was applying for schools (ended up not going), and used to spend time there before going up to AK to see my folks, I'm sure it has changed a lot but I've been to numerous US cities and Seattle is the most beautiful in the entire nation in my opinion, definitely worth walking around for a day or two, great restaurants, river walks, etc etc.

Dont listen to what anyone said about Oregon.
If you visit Oregon go to Crater Lake, the southern Oregon coast (especially if you can rent one of the odf yurts), avoid Portland, go to NE Oregon near Joseph. The coastal mountain towns have a lot of gems. Powers, Alsea (visit the mountain here for great views), and Mapleton/Deadwood (has alpha farm which is a hippie community that self destructed due to LGBT extremists)
Ashland has a Shakespeare festival. We have a few drive in theaters that are a nice night too.
I also really like the pocket from Scott's mills Silverton and mt angel. Mt angel has a monastery and great German food.
Oregon has tons of nice pockets but i5 = meth and California's. Best advice is to get lost and take backwoods.
In NE I like Ukiah Joseph enterprise la grande. Bakers city like most se Oregon turns into a hot nasty desert shithole in the summer
If you like some more small towns in middle of nowhere I liked condone fossil and John day areas. Like old western stuff.
Oregon also had a ton of ghost towns you can look up like Flora.
Im a lookout here but I wont let you up. Sorry.
