>holesMy Darn Toughs just got their first hole. Any other brands that I should try out for long distance hiking? I know they got a great lifetime guarantee but I'd rather not let it interrupt my travels. Also interested in toe socks but they all seem to have their seams on the toe-ends and I find that to be annoying.
You’re supposed to get a few pairs so when you have to send one in you’re not out.
>>2867013I always have one extra in the pack in case the current ones get wet, and they always get wet in my environment so I don't want to end up barefoot. I guess having three in total wont be the end of the world, just hate the bulk.
Nothing comes close to tarn dough. I have worn mine daily for two years, even washing them in boiling water, and they still don't have holes. I don't know what sort of kevlar they put into the soles but it works.
>>2867015You don't need to keep all of your socks in your backpack. Unless you're homeless. And if you're homeless, you don't have an address for Darn Tough to ship to. In which case, none of this matters. Just get some socks from Salvation Army.
Darn toughs are too tightId say the old bass pro lifetime guarantee were just as good at 12 bucks a pair but they ended them.Im trialing some Canadian ones (jb fields) now to compare since theyre much more loose
>>2867013>send one insew it up ffs
>>2867039nigga you can just go to whatever store has them and most will oblige their guarantee thats why every thruhiker wears them
>>2867070We were specifically talking about Darn Tough socks. I’m going to assume you’re unfamiliar based on your asinine comment.
>>2867010the 50 euros per pair Silverlight socks are for real the best hiking socksI've been wearing a pair for every outing for the last 6 years and it's finally time to get a new one oneI feel quite stupid when buying 50 euros socks, but the 2 layer construction makes a legitimate difference with blistersI tried darn tough but as far as I can tell they're a meme, just an ordinary sock, aren't even left and right anatomically
>>2867172I’ve got 11 pairs of darn tough now. Meme or not, best socks I’ve ever had. They are comfy and durable and it’s super easy now that I have a surplus to exchange a pair that’s starting to wear out.To each their own.
