Here in Spain laws surrounding camping seem extremely restrictive, and the allowed camping sites are full of people. How do you anons deal with it?
This always seemed ludicrous to me, if you’re hiking up on a trail are you not allowed to setup a tent for the night?
>>2867848From what I understand you are allowed to sleep in a vivac but no tent or fire. I get the fire part, at least on summers, since we've had problems with forest fires. But not being able to set up a tent for the night is dumb.
>>2867849It's really hard to look up info about the legality of these types of things cause most results I get are AI slop articles about Camping Vans
>>2867848its very much an ask for forgiveness deal. anti camping laws are there so authorities can remove vagrants. if youre out of the way and only staying one night you'll be fine. nobody is coming out in the middle of the night to tear down your tent and give you a fine.
>>2867851Makes sense. Still would be nice to have proper laws around this like I hear other countries in Europe have.
>>2867847You're not allowed to camp in europe, period.
>>2867847Not much on >>>/out/ but already getting tired of this.OP is a faggot and making excuses.Yes. The laws in vast parts of wurope are like that. Lawmakers be like 'better have it than need it'. But laws are not supernatural you dumb fuck.I probably slept more than 1000 nights outaide all over europe including central and western. In randomly picked spots.Never did a cop just materialize out of thin air 'you're going to jail'.Sometimes people come chat you up. Have a chat and they will leave again. Sometimes people demand you move, because they are hunting or own the land. In half of those cases when asked if there is a better place they will point you to a better place. Guess what: People out at night innawoods understand the motivation and joy behind that.>Inb4 'europe has no outdoors'Sour grapes again. There being no more white spots on the map doesn't mean you can not enjoy places. Things having been discovered doesn't mean you personally have. This really would hold true for any place in the world. If you dont want ro go to the amazon because you already saw it on TV this probably isn't for you. Also: This makes it even more clear that you would much less go and explore if there was a white spot on the map.Stay at home. Watch TV. Play gayme. Keep making excuses.Or stop making excuses, pack some shit, remind yourself that you'll make it without things you forgot to pack, lace up your boots and walk to the nearest green you see on the map. Keep walking until tired, sleep, repeat. It's that easy.
>>2867847seems like itd be easy to stealth camp fuck timmy gon do?
>>2867862Idk man I think you are putting a lot of words into my mouth. I like hiking. Just never done a multi-day hike where I slept outside. Wanted to know what other people's experience doing that was.
>>2867875not sure why hes being so antagonistic but hes mostly right. youre best bet is to just do it. do it with a friend or 3 and youll feel more confident about camping without knowing if its legal. set camp out of sight from roads trails and buildings. if thats not possible make sure its at least public land. dont set up a bunch of shit you dont need and make it look like you might be staying for days or weeks. keep fires as small as possible. no fire is best but boring. the birds will wake you up 30 minutes before sunrise and youll be back on the trail before any property owners or authorities are out of bed.
>>2867877Thats just what Spaniards are like
>>2867847Just don't be a retarded fat american faggot that will start a wildfire and litter everywhere and don't camp in a natura2000 zone and literally nobody will give a shit OP. Maybe walk like 15min off the trail so you aren't too obvious if you want but that's about it, the worst they will do is tell you to leave. But again, don't litter and don't make a pit fire during summer
>>2867847>He doesn't know about emergency bivouac
