So I've had this mango sapling for arround three months and when autumn started here in Buenos Aires, Argentina it started decaying just as you are going to see in my photos. It grew for arround one month and it looked really healthy but nowdays it's leaves are becoming brown and I don't know what else to do. It was outside but the cold weather as I read online makes everything worse so now it's inside my house and 1.5m away from a window.

Please HELP!

This was the plant before autumn

overwatered, it's dying of root rot. You need to re-pot it into some looser potting soil with pearlite for additional aeration and in a pot with good drainage. Right now you have an anaerobic zone that is allowing root rot bacteria to thrive and destroy your plant's roots.

I haven't watered it in 2 weeks... Anyways I'm going to try what you are telling me thanks a lot!

What is your drainage look like? are there holes in the bottom of the pot? When you moved it indoors, did you stop up the drain holes or something else to prevent it getting your floors wet?

This pot has holes on the botton, small rocks and then dirt mixed with perlite. When water collects on the bottom I drain the "dish" that is sitting on between the floor and my pot.

Hmm....that sounds good. Did you add perlite to your potting soil too? How heavy is the pot now compared to just after watering?

I'm thinking about repotting in a smaller pot and praying

Definitely re-pot it. When you do, check the roots. Cut out anything slimy. It sounds like your pot has good drainage. So that leaves your soil. Well draining soil should be ok in a pot that size. But if mango's handle transplanting/repotting well, definitely go smaller until it's re-established itself. Otherwise, add more perlite to your soil to try and improve your drainage.

>three months
the soil is drained of nutrients. get some liquid plant food that you mix with water.

Hope for the best but it doesn't look that good haha. This is how I repotted it
