Recommend me fantasy photography. Like the folklore. I am sick and tired of human relations bullshit and contemporary news. Any photography related to "contemporary" world is strictly prohibited ITT
>>4443787at that point why not just go observe paintings and other art forms? it always rings phony when it's attempted in photography. i've never seen a good fantasy/fantastical photo that doesn't just look like overprocessed photoshop cheese
>>4443809I think it's just a matter of skill. Photography can do that sort of thing. I remember some anon went to Romanian mountains photographed utter fucking kino. PIc related can also work as fantasy
>>4443813>PIc related can also work as fantasyNothing fantastical about a bunch of Europoors larping.
>>4444128Whole human culture is one giant larp.
>>4443787You might enjoy the massive religious/larp that was the 1920's group Kibbo Kift, they'd dress up and trek around the Sussex Hills in folk revivalist costumes & stole pretty much any aesthetic they thought worked for them. It all went to shit when the founder pivoted the group towards paramilitarism later on though.https://www.theguardian.com/artanddesign/gallery/2015/nov/02/britains-oddest-youth-movement-kibbo-kift-in-pictures
>>4444541Idea is very kino but sadly the photography is shit.
>>4444544Ironic since Angus McBean who did most of it is held up as a great by establishment art normies for photographing the Beatles later
>>4443813Fucken’ell anon, you just made me buy her book…
>>4444548They like him because of Beatles. Some of photos are nice but nothing exceptional. >>4444610Hehe Enjoy anon

>>4443813>>4444610>>4445311Mine just arrived, and damn. Especially the poem excerpt, and what the page it's printed on obscures.Even the wrap is exquisite.
>>4460538Buyfag anon here. The book is incredible! That printing, the layout, paper choice, even the cover. It’s the most intriguing photo book i own
>>4460538>>4460547Post photos of the book please

>>4464555Based Photo of cover and binding please. What was its price? What is your review of the photobook?
>>4464827>cover>bindingthey're shown on the shop page.I have nothing to review, I don't know enough about photobooks to have any authority or taste vocabulary. But a couple people I've shown it to seemed genuinely impressed. An objective fact that I can state is that the photos have different colour mastering than on her portfolio page.
>>4464833Is it better in print? Also what was the price?
>>4464835>Is it better in print? It's just different. More somber than festive. Both are executed well. I think I prefer the print but for purely subjective reasons>Also what was the price?https://origini-edizioni.myshopify.com/collections/the-newest/products/solstice
>>4464848Thanks anon
>>4444614Fixed.
>>4444614Soul >>4465178Soulless
>>4465330>orange and teal is soulful
>>4465363Where it works, works
>>4460538>>4460547I got my copy too and honestly kinda disappointed. I wanted a sequence of high quality prints maybe with some text describing what's going on but instead I got a few prints with a ton of pretentious bullshit to pad it out. The printing doesn't seem that great, the colors are dark and muddy with an odd blue cast, on very thin delicate yellow paper with a weird texture that hides detail. It does look unusual and expensive I'll give you that.
