basically all phone camera programs are taking a constant video feed with gyro data to align and stack images. it's how they do the majority of their noise reduction and HDR. this is not a new technology. iPhone proraws are basically this.

I'm not really convinced by their photos being "more natural" than what smartphones usually take.
More resolution/sharpness through multiple photos taken instead of AI hallucination is nice, though I wonder if it's actually true.
Remove reflections is cool too.
Overall pretty cool, but paying a subscription for a camera app would be a pain in the ass

Canon's R10, R7, R6 and above have an option for 2-10 shot average stacking in camera that give you a RAW. My R50 only allows a 4 shot stack with a final JPEG.
If the cripplecuck brand has it in their $800 APS-C option, I'd hope to god other makers have it as well.

Also, if the phone can use technology X to reach the IQ produced by high end camera, then what would prevent the camera manufacturers from using X to improve their image further. I'm not talking about this shitty project in particular. I'm talking about any imaging technology.

photographers and engineers have different ideas of "image quality". all of this tech was already applied to cameras and then rejected by the market (except for astrophotography peeps and those who use cameras as high end scanners) because of the smearing of motion and fake looking images.

small sensor photography can be very sharp and have good dynamic range on paper but tends to lack actual detail and look overprocessed
