>>4458448If it wasn't for the white border and op told you he shot them on his phone you wouldn't like them
i dont like them at alltumblr mood board but not photography. this kind of vapid shit only appeals to mentally unstable women.
>>4458458Nah, white borders are annoying. I dig his expressionist style. But he def needs substance and narrative in his photos. >>4458461WTF? I love mentally unstable women now?
i wonder if a street general would fly... i feel like it's just an invitation for trolls and we don't have quite enough volume of street shots to overpower them currently. in any case, stp is a weak abbreviation for such a general. just /street/ is fine imo
i like your textures, OP. compositions are a bit tight for me overall tho
>>4458507clearly the correct abbreviation is /strep/
>>4458825that settles it/p/, meet /strep/

>>4459388>pretty nice grab but isn't the bottom left of the pic unneeded? This is how it turned out; you know on the street not everything is in the right place.
>>4459396of course. i bring it up only to discuss composition
>>4459597Isn’t this entire pic unneeded?
Stitch phortorgaphy is the purest form of art you can create digitally.

I got there from a street.
This was *definitely* on a street.

>>4462063seems like you want the viewer to look at the gal facing the camera since no one else is making eye contact, but almost every composition choice distracts from her. also she has a weird, half-lidded, dazed expression. the texture of the photo is uncannily smooth.

Is anyone else short and invisible? Helps a bunch that people don't notice me, I've even 'disappeared' when I am with my friends but I've only just moved 2 meters.

>>4466002i'm not talking about anything related to focal lenght. you have wild chromatic aberration on some, and your colors look a bit cooked. oversaturated perhaps, and the shadows somehow look both heavy and dull

>>4469231>decentpersonally i'm bewildered by this thread. almost every photo posted by someone else itt suffers from three or more of the following problems:>no discernible composition>illegible exposure>eye-searing editing>focus leads to nothing>uneventful>bereft of emotionand based on the comments so far, it seems like no one notices..? it would be cool to get street photography going on this board but this showing has been rather bleak. i'm kind of hoping there' s no street thread after this one, but if it comes about, maybe i'll post some photos from established photographers plus resources just to help balance it out and guide anons along
>>4469266Street photography is not and never has been art. Without a veneer of nostalgia and historical interest it is all crap. All of it. Good street photography has never existed and can not exist. The moment supposed street photography becomes inherently good, it stops being street photography by definition and slips into another genre unnoticed such as abstract portraiture, documentary, new topographics, humanism, etc, and labeling it mere street photography is disrespectful to the photographer’s vision and intent. The snap you posted would be magically appealing if it were taken 40 years ago. This is a sad fact. Street photography is about as interesting as taking photos of buildings.
>>4469266why wait

>>4469299the people who believe that the best at anything don't fail more than those who suck are delusionalfrom quantity comes qualityfrom failing thousands (maybe millions) of times you get qualityso if you're afraid of failing then never gonna git gud

Dead thread? Might post a few of my own, have been taking some street photos for some time now (but not as much as I'd like because people don't like having a random camera shoved in their face) and I've never shared my photos anywhere so I might just do that. We'll see. Dead thread is sad tho.
