>keep one lens>get rid of all your othersWhich one are you keeping?
My trusty 14-600 mm f/1.4
My Nikkor 50mm f2 Ai is the best lens in the universe, so its a keeper.
RF 50 1.4
Sigma ART 18-35mm f/1.8 Pentax fit
>>4463119Not bad. I have an early Tamron 17-50mm f2.8 that is waiting to show me what it can do.
>>4463101APS-C so Sigma 23mm 1.4 as an all-rounder I guess.
Micronikkor 105mm 2.8 ai-s
>>446310124-120mm f4I have a bunch of lenses, but this isn't even something I need to think about.Yes, it's a bit dark, but as long as there is any daylight at all, it can do anything.
>>446310185mm 1.4L
>>4463149For comparison, these are the lenses I own:>24-120mm f4>24-70mm f2.8 (old Tamron, a bit soft)>70-200mm f2.8>14-24mm f2.8>50mm f1.4>80mm f1.8>80mm f1.4>60mm f2.8 macro
>>4463153>80mm f1.8>80mm f1.4Meant 85mm, obviously
Im in love with my Asahi Super Takumar 50mm SMC 1.4f
Nikkor 85/1.4 AF-D
EF 70-200 f/4 IS USM, but if I did get rid of everything else I'd cheat and grab a 1.4x teleconverter as well. It's a bitch though because I like doing a broad range of photography that necessitates other lenses. But, with the money I made back from selling my other lenses I'd be able to grab a really good star tracker and do some medium telephoto space stuff.
Panasonic 18-40mm
The 45 1.8 on my Electro 35 GTN because I need no more than that to be quite frank.
>>4463101Gotta be either my EF 100-400 IS II or my RF 24-70 2.8.Probably the 24-70. That on the R6 II can realistically do a ton.
>>4463186What film are you shooting with it?
>>4463191Anything.
>>4463101Nikon Z 85mm 1.8Perfect, and not even asspensive.
>>4463101For me, its the Industar 50-2
35mm f1.2 Nokton III50mm f1.5 Nokton II and 50mm f1.8 S are close runner upsIn practice, the lens I've used the longest, while selling and trading everything else, has been the 35mm f2.5 PII
>>4463101idk probably the Nikon Z 40mm f2
40.
8mm fisheye. I can just crop in post.
>>4463101It's not technically the best, but it's very low on chromatic aberration, its very small and it focuses internally, which I like.
>>4463105Post lens.
Pentax Super Takumar 50mm. It's as good as they say it is
>>4463335This.
>>4463320No need to hit the gym
>>4463337Hey buddy I think you got the wrong thread, the astrophotography general is three rows down.
>>4463335Love this lens.
After buying a few lenses over the years, the 16-50 3.5-5.6 pancake kit lens is all I need.
>>4463101Canon EF 75-300 f/4.0-5.6.I'm as amateur as amateur gets so simple is good, and this lens is simple. Easy to get good pics with in most conditions.
>>4463101this is a common fantasy and activity among hobby photographers in particular and they always get emotional over it. people dream of this and answer enthusiastically bur aren’t ready to do it… because the void is fake-full with sticks and lint called gear. i think people who shoot just for fun gearfag because they are depressed and trying to inject motivation and inspiration where their shitty life cant (photography is inexorably tied to travel) so eventually the gear disgusts them because it reminds them of when they were frustrated and depressed and trying to fill the void with their ample disposable income, likely income that came from the very reason their life was so static, depressing, and meaninglessfor me i simply have no reason to choose one lens. i like everything i have and bought it all to do stuff with. i simply shant be choosing just one. i will use my 40 and 85 forever. sorry!
pretty easy. nokton classic 35mm 1.4 mkiiall i need for street and portrait
>>4463382how small or low-resolution is the sensor on the camera that took this photo? Your cameras look like nearly-indistinct black blobs.
>>4463387You need to click on the image, anon.
>>4463387xperia xz1c. 1/2.3" sensor
>>4463390Phone cameras really just don't age well eh
>>4463390Even on phones Sony JPEGs are bad lol
>>4463101My 50mm Summicron
>>4463390Leica look.
>>4463404Leica isnt that bad
>>4463402Pre-aspherical?
>>4463382how is manual focus compared to af ?
>>4463458good. mf doesn't work for that wide open bokeh snapshot type of shot. but it's good for everything i do>>4463391sure, but it doesn't really matter. this model is about 8 years old. i suspect phones have one of the fastest upgrade cycles of any type of tech. >>4463404??
>>4463279I was going to say that I'd keep the 50mm 1.8, but honestly, I use the 40mm more, so probably that one.
>>4463444Yeah
>>446310128-300mm
My biggest, fattest, blackest one.
The one inside my Olympus XA that I love because it's cute
>>4463652Then you own one of the very best lenses ever made.
>>4463684I fucking adore it, anon, it continually makes me pick it up and use it even for things it's not well suited for but it's fucking hypnotic. And it's like two different lenses, between how it looks wide open vs how it looks even just stopped down to f/2.8 or f/4.
really easy question
>>4463101>all these manual lenses ITTWhy in the absolute fuck
>>4463149>24-120mm f4This. f4 is one of those limitations that doesn't really matter in most cases, if you know your stuff.
>>4463819Well, it can be hard with indoors events, but outside it's generally never a problem.
>>4463817/p/ is a contrarian board anon.why are you here?
>>4463744Very worthy answer.
