Hey /p/, can anyone tell me what type of screw this is? It’s on a SmallRig baseplate

Part of a camera rig/baseplate that’s been mounted for a long time

I might have replaced the original screw at some point

Already tried Nimbus and Torx in various sizes, but none fit

I’ve attached a photo — please take a look and let me know if you’ve seen this type of screw before or know the exact thread/size. Thanks!

Pretty much all camera stuff use 3/8" or 1/4"
That's not a thumb screw you can just turn to loosen?
Picrel is what it comes with

what you probably have

Same item which I found on my Amazon list.
Guess i improvised at some time and got those screw and tighten it up WAY too much on that rig
Impossible that I did that myself with fingers only. Now I cant unscrew it anymore. >>4472174
Looks like that, like something you screw by hand only or am I wrong?
Dont know which tool I used. That rig is problably like from 2017 or 2018 , fixed on my BMPCC4k. Kinda messed up the rig by trying to take it off.

Yea that's a thumb screw you tighten by hand
The bottom screw isn't for tightening, it's for adding other components too
It's probably 1/4", so you could try a screwing a 1/4" into it and then leveraging that to unscrew it

>i have been shoving screwdriver bits into this thing that obviously has threads and is not a screw
Fuck some of you are ngmi
