So newest NX Studio is out - with the Film Grain effect added. This will come to the Zf with the next firmware update. What do you think? Picrelated is OOC JPG with Large Grain @ Intensity 3 applied in NX StudioI love it
>>4475281here's the ungrained image
not bad. how about color grain, does it go the easy monochrome grain way on top of a color image or does it add color grain too?
>>4475283upgraded my own version, and while its probably one of the lazier implementations (only monochrome), at least its better than lightroom/camera raw one (the same grain overlay for all your pictures if theyre the same resolution)
>>4475281Damn. Nikon just keeps on winning.
Why not just shoot film?
>>4475297>why not just a process with a lot more hassle and inconvenience?
>something got faker and gayer>and the goyim rejoiced
>>4475297my fax machine is broken so I can't send order forms for film :(
>>4475281this looks nothing like film
>>4475281cool, capture one has done this better for ages
>>4475338it's not about looking like film, retard. it's to add some random noise to make the image not look as sterile.film is inferior to colors anyway - like a shitty baked in instagram filter
>>4475419>least retarded nikon shill
>>4475297My pockets are empty
>>4475281its not pretty grain more like mesh over pic
>>4475281How do I do this with my Sony? Is there an equivalent software? Can i use this one?
>>4475281Personally, the thing I like about film is how the cameras are. I like that I can just chuck them in a bag, or not even take a bag and just carry them and I don't have to worry about them being super fragile or that they're gunna break. At least thats how it is for me since I use relatively cheap film cameras. I also like how they look. I personally don't really like the way film looks, most stocks I don't like the colours and I don't really like the grain. It sounds weird, but when I shoot film I mainly do it for convenience. The problem with zf for me wasn't that the photos didn't look like film; the photos look great. The issue is that while it looks great, it doesn't feel like a film camera. It feels cheap and fragile. I was so close to buying one but I got the opportunity to hold one before I did so, and now I'm glad I didn't. >Blog post over.
>>4476127yeah, i think it needs some work, the detail loss and the sharpness of the grain are all over the place. >>4476149just use any other raw developer. capture one looks almost exact with some grain settings>>4476187yeah but there is literally no other digital camera with "analogue" controls thats as rugged as the Zf (i dont trust fujifilm). i just wish they didnt cheap out on the bottom part of the body with the plastics.
