>>4491530>using compression to make the bird look closer to the umbrella than it really isDishonest photography, Diesel vs The Pebble tier
>>4487074Which color film did you use for this picture?
>>4491609Thanks anon>>4491621Photography is perhaps the most dishonest medium>>4492166Agfa XPS160. Back then I bought 115 rolls of it in 220 for $100 from a photo studio that was switching to digital.
>>4492174Great colors and unbeatable price. Hopefully the new Lucky color film will produce similar colors. The 120 version should be released soon.
>>4492176I don't follow film stuff much anymore, just shoot and dev bw 35mm only now. Lucky coming out with colour film sounds awesome. I really liked their SHD100 bw film. Didn't have anti-halation layer and got real glowy.
>>4492231So far I’ve been shooting HP5+, and now I want to try FP4. I picked up Pyro developer and I’m really curious to see the results. With Kodak Gold in medium format, there was finally some availability again, and it’s good to see Lucky joining the game. Lucky shows very nice green tones in the test shots.I managed to pick up a used CPE2 for 150 euros, and in the future I’d like to start developing color film as well. I’m also planning to get a 4×5 Ondu once they replace the last 3D-printed part with aluminum, which should happen around February. At that point, self-developing will really start to make sense. I get cold sweats just thinking about the fact that a single sheet of Portra 400 in 4×5 will cost around 10 euros per shot… I’ve chosen the wrong hobby. How do you scann your pictures?
>>4487081Not completely sure why but this is my favorite of the bunch. >>4489534>>4487090I'd highlight several other photos I like as well but for some reason I kept triggering the spam filter with my previous attempt at a reply.>>4489545I do like how some of your landscapes turned out where the warm scrubby vegetation and craggy earth blend together in texture and color.>>4487092The flash photos speak to me for some reason - I never really appreciated the look until recently.I've only had experience with film of the black and white variety for a college course years ago. I hope my foray into color produces some interesting images like some of yours.
great thread, picked a couple of my favorites. makes me want to go out and take more photos>>4487083the texture of the water up top is wonderful>>4487110this lil guy reminds me of the bird in the twin peaks intro>>4487128love how this one messes with scale, the giant ship looks so small
>>4492231That photo looks like it was taken with a cheap 2005 digicam.
I wish I could go back to the Vancouver of 15 years ago. I fucking hate the post 2017 era. Thank you OP.
Lovely thread, colors in particular are really pleasant. I'd offer more critique but I suck Highlights>>4489533>>4489540>>4489545>>4489546Most of them reallyWas in vancouver in 2012 for a few months internship at UBC wish I could go back there, thanks for bringing some of the memories back
>>4492360Oh nice, I really like FP4 especially pushed to 400. Never used Pyro, been mainly using Kodak Tmax developer. I'm sure it'll play well with Pyro too. These were all scanned with a mix of a Nikon Super Coolscan 9000ED and a shitty Canon flatbed. I scan now with a Sony a7 and macro lens, wayyyy quicker with better results.>>4492392Thanks anon, appreciate your comments. Get some colour film and have fun! I don't shoot it anymore, bw film tickles the itch for me now.>>4492418Thanks anon <3. I enjoy playing with scale a quite a bit for sure.>>4492421Probably because it essentially was, given it was a Canon flatbed from the early 2000s.>>4492486I want to move back regardless, miss it.>>4492509Thanks anon, go back for a visit. What internship were you doing? Also always open to critique. Taste tends to outpace skill.
