https://www.flickr.com/photos/michigan_mister/Based - this is the future of photography
>>4488224The slop wars have begun, the next few years are going to be something else.I dont think this board will even exist within 2 years time as this very topic will destroy it from the inside out.
>>4488225putting your own photography watermark on ai creations is the cherry on top of the slop.
>>4488224I dont think you understand what the word photography means.>photoDerived from photon, aka light>graphFrom the greek word graphe, meaning paintingGenerating an image that was never real is fundementally not photography.
>>4488233The images were derived from light they just had some extra math involved to combine many photos into one creation.
>>4488224holy sovl
Kek, I told you guys years ago... rise of the NPC. It's going to get infinitely worse. Shoot film, print your shots. Hang them on your walls. Never let a single NPC into your house.
>>4492211>i cant shoot digital they'll think im one of THEMNo thanks, retard. I'll do what I want and continue not caring if some retard on the internet thinks my photo is AI. What's chatGPT gonna do, generate a 14 bit model specific .cr2 file?If the gubmint wanted to fuck with you they already have modified nanolithography machines that can print photorealistic AI generated and altered images onto sheet film with such precision the result is forensically indistinguishable from a real lens projection.
>>4492218If you haven't had a public presence and portfolio since before 2016 I'm just going to assume all your shit is fake. Sorry, chump. Have fun with your AI and playing pretend.
>>4492211ai upscaling its not a thing for real cameras rite now but they have for example ai af and ai nr, ai upscaling is by far the most destructive of the last 2, ai af is probably a good idea as long as it is deactivable
>>4492229Only the top two canon mirrorless has AI NR and only the top tier sony bodies have any chance of adding itMost just lack the hardware to run anything resembling ML. Mfgs have not even updated the batteries originally meant for more efficient DSLRs.
>>4492219Show us the AI generating a coherent 14 bit raw file. No crazy histogram per rawdigger. Expected shadow and highlight recovery per the model. Realistic metadata (which is a lot more than exposure). Correct non image info like masked pixels and sensor state data. I’ll waitFilm is fun but it needs to be more advanced to btfo digital veracity. For film veracity it has to generate a coherent 8 bit, 24-36mp image. Maybe less because film is a medium and the writing process could go through an authentic film camera lens
>>4492247You're really trying to pretend those are real pictures in the guy's gallery, huh
>>4492250I never said a word about the guys gallery its obvious slopThe topic is the principles behind the film and historical public portfolio autism
>>4488224Pretty bizarre. 12 years ago that profile belonged to some boomer with a camera. His photos were mostly pretty shit but they were actually photos.
