>>4490903Had a tough time trying to compose and focus quick shots with a manual rangefinder especially since I couldn't frame up anything perfectly due to wearing glasses. Seeing the low-res previews provided by the labs in Japan I was pretty disappointed with the composition of my photos as I'm still getting used to 35mm but I used it as a learning experience and I'm pleased with the final results after coming home and scanning everything myself.
>>4490850I think this is my favorite of the set. The busyness of the shot works with the overall narrative, rather than against it as it does sometimes in the rest of the images. The old man, not many years left in him is reading a book, surrounded by paintings. All this old media, which in time will be completely forgotten, as he too will be, as the world moves on, increasingly digitized. It's an aesthetic shot, perhaps not the most visually impressive as a few of the other ones at face value, but paired with its context and subject matter, it is the strongest, imo.
