>>4491100The attitude has changed a lot. When I came in (2008ish?) Criticism was far more regular and aggressive - but in a way, helpful. You learned more quickly because people pointed out little mistakes and tore you a new arsehole for it. It was a way funnier board. Partly because moderation was far less strict. Comedic threads were regular. Posting gifs and funny images was far less regulated. Now its okay for dumping stuff to see what people think, but very few people try to make fun out of anything.

I still lurk. I've been all hands on deck trying to save my business, trucking is rough right now and I'm not making any money and working 90 hours a week. I haven't really shot anything all year other than Bonneville. I haven't been home other than for a week to do legal shit and keep my head above water.

Nice to see some oldfags here. I only started coming here seriously around 2018-ish, and I'm sure the place had declined even by then, but lately it has been noticably less friendly and more actively hostile while the passion seems to be slowly dwindling. I'll still drop some photos here, but I know I'll likely lose my patience for this place soon if things don't start looking up.

Other times a break can be good even if you feel like a failure if you take one. I didn't take a single pic for the past three-ish weeks and I finally got back into it with a single picture taken and developed yesterday and I took another one today so I can dev it tommorow. Feels good to be back woth renewed vigor.
