Now when AI can make pic rel, retouching as a profession is dead, isn't it? If AI can make a photo from scratch, sure it can remove wrinkles and shit. What do I do for a living?
>>4506107Get a real job? Also, AI literally is just making shit up. There is zero chance an AI tool alone added all that detail in without any fuckups or hallucinations.
Well, you could go shill AI elsewhere to start, you sniveling bitch.
>>4506117are you stupid or blind? the right "shot" is a hallucinaton based on the left one
>>4506117anon I...https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_06ZXc3bqW0
>>4506110>Get a real job?Like what? I only like photography and I used to photoshop big boobs to my girlfriends since highschool. There's nothing else I can do
>>4506122Senior portraits, family portraits, maternity, boudoir, weddings, engagements
>>4506123You need some really good gear to start any of those Retouching could give you a start for free
>>4506124For weddings you'd want more sure, but can always rentYou realistically need like $400 to start for the others, but if you're remotely competent you can just make that back in 1-2 sessions
>>4506125>full frame body + 24-85 lense for 400$Please tell me more
>>45061275DII and EF 24-105 f/4 sorted.Complaints? Take them to the unemployed line.
>>4506128B-dut I don't want to switch from Nikon ecosystem
>>4506127>full frame body + 24-85 lenseYou don't even need that much lol, but there are plenty of cheap optionsJust sounds like you're making excuses now
>>4506107>retouching>1891it's been a long time, and now it's all over https://ia800109.us.archive.org/6/items/gri_33125013853599/gri_33125013853599.pdf
>>4506136Is it possible to start with a crop and a kit lense? I doubt it.
>>4506142That's what I did. Started with senior portraits of my classmates on a D60 + 55-200 for $100. Then bought a refurb D90 and added AF-D 85 1.8. Started doing concerts too, mostly with D90 + 35 f1.8, then just kept upgrading until I started in on engagements and then weddings and everything else. Most of my wedding work in the last decade has been on crop bodies too.
>>4506144Where do I find classmates as a 30 years old neet?
>>4506146>let me think of another excuseDo you have friends or coworkers or family with family that is in school? College grad photos are very common too.Do you know anyone in a professional field that could use some updated headshots?Do you go to any events or gatherings where you could take pictures at and share?I did my first engagement session with a friend couple and it worked out so well I did their wedding too, first time. From there I just kept doing more and more weddings and other work.Getting started is the hardest part, but I believe in you
>>4506151No.No.And no.
>>4506153>never gonna make itSad
>>4506153Funnily enough running your own business (which is effectively what being a photographer is) requires you to have at least some ability to socialise with the majority of people.Whether your camera is full frame or cropped is actually irrelevant because 90% of the population won't know or care what that means. In fact I bet anyone reasonably socially talented could buy an old digicam and offer retro portrait sessions to make money.People love to insist that the reason they fail is lack of gear or lack of skill in a given area, they never look at their social skills.
Speaking of which: is it safe to download Capture One or something like Topaz Photo for free? I'm not sure if AI tool still works when cracked, for example in Photoshop it doesn't work.Who's using AI tools for retouching, how is it and what exactly do you use?
>>4506171Anon, let's say you're not living in Canada or wherever the fuck you are, let's say you're living in India. Imagine that when you look outside you see pic rel. Why would you need your social skills in a society you hate?
>>4506173>Who's using AI tools for retouchingI use it for removal in Photoshop to remove blemishes of the scene, just more efficient than the clone/stamp/patch tools I used beforeI use C1's Match Look Tool for easy starting adjustmentsI use Topaz Photo & Video for enlarging/upscaling old photos and videos, sometimes for denoisingAI masking in any program I've tried has been pretty good
>>4506174So I want my local creek stream thing to be cleaner or something
>>4506179>he paid for Photoshop
>>4506107>AI decided the headlights have completely different color temps to each other
>>4506173All ai tools except generative tools work in cracked lrc or ps
>>4506259Does autoretoucning also works in cracked PS?
>>4506248In fairness I've seen plenty of ricers do exactly that to stand out, but the original picture clearly isnt doing that so go figure the AI is just making shit up.OP that's the thing. Doing this is just AI gen but providing it with a baseline so you don't have to be so specific with your prompt. Yeah it's moderately true to the original but it's still just a from-scratch AI gen. You may as well just not take a photo because when I take a photo it's because I want to remember and look back on reality. I can just make shit up in my head if I want to look at fake shit.
>>4506259I m not at home to test iit but seems like os generative ai so no. But the workaround is to make adobe business account trial for 2 weeks using throwaway email. Login and use the ai.Repeat every 2 weeks
>>4506228Yeah, I'm not poor and it's software I've used for +20 years now
>>4506277>why yes I paid $1,530-$3,600 for an app people use for freeI'm afraid you've been scammed
>>4506287I mean I used to also use it for "free" when I was poor and before they went to the sub modelI've made more than enough from photography to cover it lol
>>4506290>I felt like it was important to support the multi billion dollar company y'know? Not enough people pay them. What's it like knowing you traded $3000+ for software that script kiddies can get for free?
>>4506291It feels fine knowing thatI pay for lots of things other people are too poor to affordI'd feel worse if I couldn't afford the cheap subscription
>>4506291Did the math, $1280 since Jan 2016, so half of what you suggestIt also covers the hosting for my secondary website through Adobe Portfolio tooI don't make use of LR or most cloud functionality
>>4506110>Also, AI literally is just making shit upYou say it like people never do that
>>4506107You didn't do shit for Smokey Nagata, or did you?
>>4506107"retouching"?I might be slightly retarded, are you trying to say "editing in post"? The best photos in the world are never straight out of the camera, friend.
>>4506349I'm new to editing so I love seeing stuff like this>>4506307>>4506308that's horrific wtf
>>4506349Dishonest photography.
>>4506353>nooo you cant make your photo look like it was taken with a better camera!Foolframers btfo by noise reduction and the saturation slider
>>4506349retouching - is when you make portraits more appealing by adjusting skin tone and removing wrinkles, acne, signs of aging, hair, moles, etcediting in post - everything else like white point, contrast and saturation
