Since these threads are now exactly as bad as /mu/'s guitar thread and probably by the same degenerate third worlder (just a hunch)Reminder to filter all the bot tier shit that will soon ensuehttps://pastebin.com/diHque73
>>4530992>probably by the same degenerate third worlder (just a hunch)Sam died in a motorcycle accident years ago, didn't you know?
>>4531003Holy shit, get a job.
>>4531011I took time off, sue me.
>>4530992pro-tip: if you add stub:no to each filter and enable recursive hiding, you can make /gg/ disappear!
>>4531015I should make the next /gg/, with my name in it he'll have it filtered without changing any setting so he won't have to complain in it.
>>4531025Almost every human on /p/ is using the filters now. They will be recommended to every new user who asks a question here. They will be actively maintained every time a name, trip, or reposted argument starter tries to evade it. Go ahead, you're basically self-deleting.
>>4531028>Almost every human on /p/ is using the filters now. They will be recommended to every new user who asks a question here.
>>4530983What's the point of these threds? They don't help anyone, nobody takes an advice of anyone, it's just a big waste of time and water
>>4530992Keep it up filterbro. The nophotos are legit seething. Fr.

>>4530992> Wants to filter "Snoy" in a gear threadKek
>>4530992The problem with your hugbox is that it's empty
>>4531044It's not a problem if the gear thread doesn't occupy half the catalog and the majority of board activityThere are two of the fucking things on the front page, 13 in the catalog. If filtering predictable spam and one tripfag reduces all activity in them to nothing then there was never real activity to begin with and the board has 13 useless spam threads on it.When polled, the majority of users on /p/ supported making starting a gear general thread an automatic ban.
Hello my friends! We had some productive discussions about OLPF and moire effects in previous threads.I am trying to understand why sony sensors produce this exceptionally strong false colour striping on such patterns. I don't see it on other cameras without OLPF.Might it be related to differences in microlens design? PDAF pixels?
>>4530992I just added diHque73 to the filter instead
>>4531056It's just an adobe camera raw bug. These aliasing patterns completely change depending on the raw processor used because not all demosaicing algorithms are equal, and not all raw processors support all raw formats equally. Dpreview doesn't use a good one. Huge budget and dpreview paid for a broken website instead of a capture one subscription.Unless you actually use adobe camera raw their "raw" preview doesn't represent what you'd actually see using a camera.Added to the list btw.
>>4531066Why would they pay for a subscription to a software that's irrelevant to the vast majority of people? Everyone uses Lightroom so it makes sense for them to use exactly that. That way people know what to expect.
>>4531068>EveryoneCapture one and photoshop are the industry standards. It's telling that federal grants fund American Graphics Institute capture one and photoshop training, but not lightroom training. Lightroom is low end software full of gimmicks like generative AI.If you can't afford capture one but think you can afford a $1499 a6700 maybe you should stop asking questions about a part of photography that is above your pay grade, re-balance your budget, and stick to micro four thirds and used DSLRs.
>>4531066>It's just an adobe camera raw bug.Why does the bug appear only on sony cameras?>Unless you actually use adobe camera raw their "raw" preview doesn't represent what you'd actually see using a camera. Why do SOOC JPEGs from sony have the same prominent striping?https://img.photographyblog.com/reviews/sony_a6700/sample_images/sony_a6700_45.jpg
>>4531072>Why do SOOC JPEGs from sony have the same prominent striping?Watch him excuse it saying it's because JPEG engines are bad because of processing power or whatever and that it's the reason to use RAW processing kek
There's definitely like 20 posts of live view olpf sony fuji panashill equivalence posting hereCan't see it doe
>>453107750/50 either equivalence technobabble or that retard that doesnt know how moire works>protip: dont buy a modern pro camera and photograph bricks at f8, f11 and f16 antialiases for you
What camera bags do you use? I fell for the marketing and imported wotancraft pilot 7l. It's a great bag but should be about half of its price to make sense.
>>4531072>Why does the bug appear only on sony cameras? It appears on various cameras, because it's called moire. Retard.
For it to appear on a Nikon is much harder though, almost like Sony fucked up
>>4531086I use one of the many I've gotten for free buying used gear, whatever one fits the purpose of the day.2 things that are essentially free when it comes to gear are camera bags and tripods.
>>4531096Follow along, we are well aware that no OLPF causes false colour and moire effects with little to no benefit. The question is why Sony's moire effects are so much more prominent in the same circumstances. Also, whoever wrote that in your image is misleading people. Shooting RAW helps very little in cleaning up moire since moire is corruption at the RAW data level.
@4531111Added /AONOlHUttMzT7xNwruSTAg==/@4531096Dont reply to the bot. Use the filters. >>4530992
>>4531114>announcing a filter
>>4531102If filterchad is who i think he is he went through the effort of opening the raws in different programs, capture one and sony’s free one, and showing everyone how the moire vanished. it is objectively an adobe camera raw issue. that moire spammer never learned from that, and that moire spammer cant evade the filters like cANON (human, allegedly) can is p much proof its always been an AI powered shitposter.
>>4531123The only thing filtercuck proved was that C1's AI algorithm is more sensitive and can therefore suppress color more efficiently when it encounters moire. The destroyed information stays destroyed though, the AI merely does guesswork. And if the moire shows up in an area with colors, that information is gone.
>>4531123Here we can see the "vanished" moiresource image if anyone else wants to give it a tryhttps://www.dpreview.com/sample-galleries/9601355361/646450
>>4531125>technobabblethis is why you’re accused of misleading peopletotally baseless claims made to sound like you’re well learned but you aint. you literally made up an excuse. its literally just a prolonged anti-sony marketing campaign.
>>4531123here the moire was actually removed, only problem is it turned the mortar joints pink.
>>4531129>>4531127>Like the last argument never even happenedYou were already told that if you buy a camera with a weak or absent OLPF, it is your responsibility to blur the image if it has to be blurred to prevent aliasing, because fixing in post is imperfect. If you buy a camera with a strong OLPF, every image is blurred no matter what.In this case you are posting dpreview samples shot poorly, at a very sharp lenses sharpest apertures rather than f/11 or f/16 which would prevent the aliasing entirely and have the same effect as an OLPF. So would using a less clinical lens or a diffusion filter. You can be told these things again and again but you just forget them and restart your propaganda machine. You can be told these things again and again, and you'll make a new thread so you can pretend you weren't. And then you post literal advertisements for kolari products. You have been repeatedly asked to post a photo you took with this problem. You were unable to. You have been repeatedly asked to prove you own a camera. You have been unable to. How much did your employer pay 4chan for you to be allowed to spam like this?
>>4531111>we are well aware that no OLPF causes false colour and moire effects with little to no benefit.Erm, greater detail. Why would you buy a high res body and then cuck it down to the level of the low res ones by blurring the whole image? Moire isn't actually a very common issue so in most situations it's beneficial to not have an OLPF, the few cases where it does crop up you can minimise it for the most part in post.
