Im literally about to max my credit card. $3k in debt. What the fuck. How do I deal with this?
>>
works on my machine
>>
>>514375851
Just apply for another one and max that one out as well. Rinse and repeat! Infinite free money!
>>
>>514375851
Don't spend what you dont have.

How do people not realize this?
>I borrowed 3k, 10k, 20000 on credit..
>wait, I have to pay it back with interest??
>>
>>514375851
>can't verify my age on steam because they expect a cr*dit card
>>
>>514375851
Dont do it in the first place.
>>
>>514375851
I pay mine off every month. So they keep increasing my limit to get me to spend more. They think they'll get any interest out of me. These jews have another thing coming
>>
>>514375851
declare bankruptcy. never respond to any emails or correspondence. flee town. become homeless. whatever you do don't ever pay it or acknowledge anything and perhaps after 5 or 10 years the debt is sold on and forgotten. There's also this event called a recession where credit is hard to get and interest rates go up but the jews in wall street got bailed out and then made credit easy to get again.

You are a winner anon, as long as you never pay back and everyone else is the sucker that will pay the bailout when the recession comes along. Everyone, even governments like the first year of credit, they hate when it gets to the fourth year and everyone is in debt and the rolling balance can't be paid because now the interest is 10% instead of the 0.5% they were spending each month.
>>
>>514375851
The key is to max it out to buy tools, people fuck up all the time and use the credit to buy themselves out of a hole.
>>
Credit cards are based. When you max them out and refuse to pay you are essentially robbing a jew. The jew fears the creditmaxxer. I have gotten great credit with the sole intention of maxxing them all out before I die. Free generational wealth. No refunds.
>>
>>514375851
>$3k in debt
kek. Im 721k in debt and interest rises faster than i can pay it off.
>>
>>514376103
>I pay mine off every month
You're dumb. You have to utilize your credit and carry a balance for a while before paying it off in order to increase your credit score. Paying it off instantly every month = stagnant credit score.
>>
>>514376200
Retarded nigger. With every transaction you do a certain percentage goes to the bank and the credit card Corp (visa for example)

I spent $10k on my credit cards moving across the country. I took my time, spent about a month on the road, staying in hotels, seeing the sights, drinking a LOT, all without a job, all on credit. Then, and here's the trick, I simply never paid it back. I ignored their phone calls. Eventually the stopped calling. I got a new job at my destination and just didn't use credit cards anymore. 7 years later the defaults disappeared. Now I have a credit score somewhere around 600, I haven't checked in a while. I still don't use credit cards but I could certainly get a loan if I needed one. Just don't pay them. They hate this one trick.
>>
>>514375851
Why would you allow a Jew to have power over you? Dumb slave.
>>
>>514376281
You can pay it off and get your score up if you increase the credit limit or open more cards, having more available credit raises your score. I pay my cards off every month and I have a 752 score.
>>
>>514376281
did your dad tell you that?

>>
>>514376568
>I pay my cards off every month and I have a 752 score.
I carry a large balance for 2-3 months before paying it all off and my credit score is 823 even after making some mistakes earlier in life. You're doing it wrong.
>>
>>514376103
This. I have over $40k across 4 different cards and over the past 15 years I can only remember one month I carried a balance over to the next month. It was less than $300 buck and the reason I didn’t pay it off that month was I simply forgot about it. Pay your cards off in full every month. Use their money but never pay interest. The credit card companies refer to people who do this as “deadbeats” because though they use hundreds or thousands of dollars in credit every month they never carry a balance and never pay interest. Think about that. CC companies call those people “deadbeats” and we are a small minority of credit card users.

That's fucking terrible dude I only have 3 cards with something like a $60k limit. Just admit your good goy strategy of paying it off on time every month is subpar.
>>
>>514375851
Over 30k of CC debt and no way to pay since getting fired for not getting the clot shot. I'm judgement proof so they don't even bother suing me. Sometimes they send emails offering to settle for less than the amount owed. American Express is down to 40% of the balance but since I'm now unemployable, even a 1% balance deal won't do shit. Maybe credit score should have included risk analysis for what happens when the government removes a person's ability to earn a living.

Idiot, the only reason to care about credit scores is the binary option of whether or not you can get a home or car loan. Paying off your credit card every month will keep your credit score high enough to achieve that already. There is no benefit to trying to artificially increase it any further.

>20 years without ever caring a credit card balance with auto pay setup.

But don't let me stop you, go ahead and hand over 15-25% of your money to banks for absolutely no reason.

Credit card debt has a statute of limitation that varies greatly by state. In some, it's as short as three years or as long as ten years. None go beyond ten years because they're legally prohibited from pursuing debt after that point. What they can do is get a court judgement against you if they sue you and you don't show up in court. Something like 90%+ don't show up for court, leading to default judgements.
In pic related, credit card debt is the last column "open ended accounts".

This exactly
Pay off every month, never pay interest on a credit card. Get a bank loan if you need to. My available credit (total on 2 cards) is equivalent to about $26,000 but I rarely use more than 20% of available credit.
>>
>>514375851
>$3k in debt
Surely you make at least that in a month, so it should only take a month. If you are seriously struggling with this very small amount of debt, you can look at other credit cards that offer balance transfers at zero percent, and transfer the debt to another card. For only $3k, it should save you around $60-$70 per month.

Credit cards can indeed be a double-edged sword, offering convenience but also the risk of spiraling debt. Here's a straightforward plan to tackle your $3,000 credit card debt:

>Stop Using It:
First, stop adding to the debt. Put your credit card away and use it only for emergencies.

>Budget:
Create a detailed budget to understand your income and expenses. This will help you identify areas where you can cut back and allocate more money towards paying off your debt.

>Debt Repayment Strategy:
Avalanche Method: Pay off the highest interest rate cards first while making minimum payments on the others. This strategy saves you money on interest charges.
Snowball Method: Pay off the smallest balances first, regardless of interest rate, to build momentum and motivation.

>Increase Income:
Look for ways to increase your income, such as taking on a side job, freelancing, or selling items you no longer need.

>Negotiate:
Call your credit card company and try to negotiate a lower interest rate. You might be surprised at how willing they are to work with you, especially if you have a history of timely payments.

>Debt Consolidation:
Consider consolidating your debt with a personal loan or balance transfer credit card. This can help you secure a lower interest rate and simplify your payments.

>Emergency Fund: Build a small emergency fund (even $500 can help) to avoid adding to your debt when unexpected expenses arise.

>Stay Disciplined:
Pay more than the minimum payment each month to reduce your principal faster and save on interest.

Here's a simple breakdown:

>Cut expenses: $200/month
>Extra income: $150/month
>Total extra payment: $350/month

With this plan, you can pay off your $3,000 debt in approximately 8.5 months. Stay disciplined, and you'll be debt-free before you know it.

because you're financially illiterate. Here's how a White man uses credit cards:
>sign up for cashback rewards card with "get $500+ cashback reward after spending $3k within 6 months"
>go into account and set it to "pay full statement balance automatically"
>only use it for shit you would have bought anyway ie gas, groceries
>get cashback
>collect big cashback reward after a couple months, basically get a free month of groceries
>credit score skyrockets
>repeat process
>profit

>>
>>514376103
I don't get it. What's the point of using your CC to "borrow" let's say 5k if you're going to reimburse 5k before the end of the month to avoid interests ? Couldn't you use the 5k you eventually end up using to reimburse, but directly ?
I have a debit card (which we call credit card as well in this cunt) and it directly uses my money. If I overspend, I have to pay with interest (agios) but isn't it the same principle as the credit card ?
And what's the point of taking credit for day-to-day consumption ? just buy less burger. Aren't americans wages much higher anyway ? why do you need loans every months ?

paying any interest at all is retard behavior

when i got my credit card the guy said there would be a $50 charge every month, but the rewards are so good I could easily pay that off with just the reward points every month. what the fuck??? does every credit card have this monthly fee or am I getting screwed over? >>
>>514378676
>so that's when you're short on cash otherwise it's useless innit
no. My bank account always has at least $10k in it. I use a credit card for cashback rewards which lets me save around $50 per month on gas and groceries and each card offers a one time big cashback reward when you hit a certain spending threshold. So I was able to capture like $600 after a few months of each card which allows me to eat for free for a month each time. Increasing your credit score is good for getting the lowest interest rates possible on something like a mortgage where paying interest is inevitable. And yes, the cashback rewards is in hopes that you're retarded and completely override them via interest payments, however I pay no interest ever so I profit.
>>
Okay I can understand spending money on credit card when you have another account that your savings accumulate. For these 1% returns, discounts, whatever programs you have. Sounds like a hassle but okay.
On the other hand spending from a credit card when you have to earn enough to pay for it next month and you don't have this money right now? Do amerimutts really?
>But I can buy a x
Whatever you can afford from a credit card - you can wait a month and don't need it right now.
Whatever you can't afford - a car or a house - you will not use a credit card for anyway.

In my experience going to a bank, saying "hey I got these wages monthly" and just talking to them like a human is enough to get you a slightly better deal on a mortgage. And I don't think bank gives a flying fuck about credit score, what they care is how much you make monthly and for how long.

>don't think bank gives a flying fuck about credit score
Here, they do care and use it as an initial score and tier what they offer based on credit score. They might make exceptions if the monthly income is high enough. Banks don't want to lend to people who dont pay their debts and if they do, its at a high interest rate. The credit report lets them confirm who does and doesnt pay their debts.
>>
>>514375851
isn't the debt fake tho? you can just refuse to pay it
>>
>>514380665
I'm still convinced that if you physically walk into a bank and say that you have never taking a credit with these monthly earnings it will count for way more since you not taking a credit means you actually know something about budgeting your expenses. I may be wrong if the system is jewed and automated beyond belief.
>>
>>514378700
You're getting fucked pretty hard at $50 a month. Every card I've ever seen with a fee would be maybe $50-100 annually. $50/month is off the chart jewish.
>>
>>514381081
*initial screener. Some wont lend if your score is in the 400s, regardless of what you tell them. Small community banks and credit unions are more likely to be okay with what youre describing. A big bank, like JPMC or HSBC, probably not okay with that and dont need the business like a small lender does.

>>
>>514378676
>what are these cashbacks ?
As the name implies you get back a percentage of what you charge on the card. For my card it is 2% which essentially means everything I buy is at a 2% discount. Which, y'know, isn't much but it is something, it mean having like $30 I would've spent
>get you to continually use this system in hope that you slip one day and get fucked with interest ?
Yeah, that is their hope. They lose money on people who pay it off every month instead of carrying a balance and paying tons of interest but most people who use credit cards carry a balance and pay tons of interest
>>
>>514375851
By paying it off every month and not being a nigger.

Credit cards are actually based. They funnel trillions of $$$ away from stupid people that were going to spend it all on plastic chinkshit anyways. The less money dumb people have the better off we all are.

>That’s literally all there is to stop you credit maxxing so they make it seem like its so important.
Don't know about the UK but in the US they can sue you and get a judgement against you and then use that to seize money from your paycheck or bank account. They can ever seize property. But since it's a court process, it costs them money and they only do it if they think they'll come out ahead. If you have a good job and simply stopped paying, they'll sue and get the ability to garnish your paycheck. If you're a bum with few valuable resources, they're not going to bother. Selling your seized underwear and toothbrush isn't going to get them much.
The worst situation for them is when someone with a good job and high credit score debt maxes rapidly after a job loss. By the time their computer models identify you as a growing risk and adjust your credit limit, it's too late. If you don't end up back in the workforce at a similar income level, it becomes a loss for them with no real way of recovering funds. As it's a business loss, they do get to claim it as a tax deduction but that's far from the full amount. And if later they do recover some of the funds, they have to put that back on the positive side of the balance sheet.
>>
>>514375851
>Im literally about to max my credit card. $3k in debt. What the fuck. How do I deal with this?

$3k. That's it? Some people are swimming in hundreds of thousands of dollars in debt and manage. Simply pay off an excess amount each month and once it is paid off, keep it that way. Only use credit for emergencies.
>>
>>514375851
Cant you use a credit card to pay that one?

>>514378423
There are no real credit cards in France
In North America (and presumably other places) they pay you to use a credit card.
Using it but paying it off before the end of the month allows you to get their bonus without paying interest
(And the reason they do it is that the average person is either too poor or too stupid to resist using the cc too much)
>>
>>514382713
>Only use credit for emergencies.
This is horrible advice as well. You should have money saved up for emergencies. Not go into massive debt whenever an emergency comes along.
>>
>>514382679
The UK went from one extreme to another within years regarding credit. They're happy for you to be buried in debt now. They can't really even touch you unless you make zero attempt at paying back money.
>>
>>514376281
Yeh this happened to me.

I had a cc but barely used it. Then at 22 I went to buy my first car and my credit was like 650, which is not bad but not good either. They said it was like nothing, so they didn't know if you were good at repaying or bad at it.

There are credit cards that are primarily for balance transfers but the company issuing it has to believe you have the resources to pay them back. If that anon already has their non-payment on their credit report, other credit card companies aren't going to open an account for them.

>>514375851
$3k is nothing m8. A few ways to go about it, they require discipline. You can shove every last cent into your card and stop using it until it’s paid down. You can pay the minimum balance and squirrel away every last cent until you can pay it off all at once. You can dump your entire paycheck into the card, then live off the card below your means and repeat until the balance is zero. Any way you choose, you need to stop spending more than you’re making.

I’ve decided to just do what the Jews do. I put extra money in Acorns because it’s simple they use Vanguard index funds. I get 10% year over year minimum. It’s better than a high interest savings account. My wife gets spazzed from time to time and says shit like muh stock market crash. And my reply is always the same, “do you really think the Jews are just not going to get paid?” Anyway, I’m trying to figure out how I can start up an insurance company. Those are rookie numbers. Just get another card with a balance transfer offer and 0% interest for X months, then pay that off. Do that a few times until you have at least 70k in credit. Spend ALL of it. Buy stuff with good resale value. Fix your shitbox car. Don't accumulate things that can be considered assets. Get cash advances and buy gold/crypto. Change address and phone number on all cards and stop paying all of it at once. Dodge all calls/letters from creditors for 7 years. Credit cards are unsecured debt and all they can do is try to sue you for it. Cant take you to court if they can't serve you. Eventually they give up. Rinse and repeat after old items are taken off your credit report.

That's not quite how it works. There are two dates to keep in mind with credit cards:
1. The statement end date
2. The payment due date
You can pay your credit card balance at any time, even before the statement end date, but doing this is what is ill advised. On the statement end date, a bill is created, and your credit score is updated. For the credit score to increase, your credit utilization (what % of your credit limit was given to you as a bill on your statement end date) must be low, but nonzero. The fundamental principle is this: credit bureaus want to know that you can borrow money, won't borrow an irresponsible amount, and will pay it back. If they don't see you borrowing any money because they only look at how much you're borrowing one day a month and you paid it all off before then, that tells them your trustworthiness can't be measured so they drop your score.

Regardless, it is always worth it to pay 100% of the bill sent to you on your statement end date, by the payment due date. This is how you avoid interest. OWING INTEREST DOES NOT IMPROVE YOUR CREDIT SCORE. Also if you really, really want to hack your credit score, pay your bills twice a month. Once to ensure your bill at the statement end date is like $10 or so to keep you utilization very low. The second time to pay off everything else before the payment due date.

I never owned a credit card, never took a loan, or checked my credit score. They still gave me a mortgage for $125k which is a lot of money around here. Stop obsessing about good goy scoreboard.

Gonna put one small addendum onto the last thing. If you take the strategy of paying twice to increase your credit score, don't make the amount you leave on at the statement end date only 1 or 2 dollars. I found out with my Discover card that they may often just drop that to zero because it's more trouble than it's worth to process a $2 e-check payment.

Although if you don't care about your credit score, this may be a way to steal about $24 a year off your credit card company. At least until they tell you to fuck off and cancel your card.

>$3k in debt. What the fuck. How do I deal with this?
if you don't mind having your credit rating take a hit, you can let it go to collection and then settle with them for pennies on the dollar. i have settled cards for as low as 20% of the balance before.
